While I am happy that this location has received for the most part positive reviews, I am more than saddened and disappointed that the two times I have purchased and eaten from here that I would not describe my experiences the same way. I first patronized this particular location years ago when it first opened because I was happy that something like this opened in this particular neighborhood and I wanted to support. I spent over $70 and the standout item was the salmon cheeseateak, standout for all the wrong reasons. But this is not why I come to review. I come to review today's uber eats order and my second experience with this location. I ordered through Uber eats a little outside of the lunch rush time. Order took just under an hour to be completed and delivered to me despite my location being very close by. The carrier was told it would be a ten minute wait about 35 minutes following the time the order was placed when it turned out to be a 15-20 minute wait, I ended up tipping the driver even more money for this inconvenience, but for horrible food. Not sure why a burger with fries and onion rings took an hour. Food was very hot which is great! however, given the time I ordered it says to me that my order was not received or acted on immediately, or they were extremely backed up and rushing, which makes sense because the food seemed like it was a rushed job. This place specializes on specialty platters and moreso "home cooking," so I'm not shocked that little to no effort is put forth toward basic things like burgers and fries, however, if you offer the item(s) on your menu, then prepare and serve them to the same standard as every other item and dish you offer. The burger was dry, overcooked, not quality meat at all, the bacon was the most fatty piece they could find and tasted like it was freezer burned, the fries and onion rings were crispy and manageable, but honestly seemed like they may have purchased all these items from the nearby Grocery Outlet freezer department. I actually felt sick after eating the burger. Also to add on their Uber Eats there is no option to add more than one thing on your burger, so while I wanted lettuce, tomato, ketchup, onions, and pickles, I had to settle for just mayo as you cannot pick other items/condiments, weird. Long wait + not good food + high prices does not equal a return. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. There won't be a third time. Perhaps equally focus on your "smaller" menu items the same as the specialty platters.
