Good-quality steakhouse with generally good accessibility
We had a very good experience at this Outback Steakhouse. The atmosphere feels like a slightly more polished version of the casual steakhouse experience, the menu has plenty of choice, and the quality of the food was genuinely good. Our server was helpful and attentive enough without being intrusive.
Accessibility was generally good, which I appreciated as someone who uses mobility aids. There was one important issue, however: the flooring inside was quite slippery in places. With the type of flooring used in the restaurant, combined with the inevitable grease that comes with a busy steakhouse, I found traction challenging while walking with crutches. This may be worth some attention from management, particularly from an accessibility and fall-prevention perspective. Otherwise, I found the restaurant reasonably accessible.
Prices are a little higher than you might initially expect from a casual steakhouse, but at least in our experience, the quality of the food largely justified the difference.
For fellow Canadians travelling in the U.S., an easy comparison would be Montana’s: if you enjoy Montana’s, Outback offers a broadly similar casual steakhouse experience, but I would describe it as a little more upscale in atmosphere and presentation.
Overall, good food, a pleasant environment, helpful service, and generally good accessibility—with the slippery flooring being the one accessibility concern I would particularly flag.
