Fantastic employees and good food. I really think the friendliness and positive energy and attitudes of the employees made the everything else that much better. It made the food taste better, it made the sticky tables and seats less noticeable, etc, etc. It's truly amazing how much better good employees can make things. I know that I thanked the ones that I personally interacted with and I hope they and the others know that they are appreciated.

This place used to be 10 time better than chipotle. I stopped by today after my last visit around 1 year ago and… portions are smaller, food cold and very poor attention. I think you guys should fix that because this is the only location in the city but…. it will disappear soon

As a Gold Status member at Qdoba, I visit this location regularly—usually every other day after work. My go-to orders are a chicken burrito or a quesadilla, depending on my mood.
Lately, though, the experience has taken a noticeable downturn. I’m not sure if there’s new management, but the two female managers have made visits increasingly unpleasant. On a recent visit, I ordered a quesadilla with several toppings and extra cheese—pretty standard for that item. Shoutout my guy for preparing it generously, which I appreciated, until a manager came over and sharply reprimanded him in front of me for adding “too many” toppings.
There are a few issues with how this was handled:
First, it’s unprofessional to criticize employees in front of customers. That kind of interaction reflects poorly on management and creates an uncomfortable environment.
Second, the manager stated there is a limit of three toppings, yet I’ve never seen that posted anywhere. When I asked for clarification, I was told additional toppings weren’t allowed except on the side—and even then, only certain items. This was confusing, especially since I’ve previously ordered quesadillas online with more toppings without issue.
Finally, I was told I would either be charged extra or have toppings removed. It’s frustrating to be put in that position when there’s no clearly communicated policy. This is especially noticeable given that prices have recently increased, making the overall experience feel even less customer-friendly.
For comparison, I’ve never encountered a topping limit like this at Moe's or Chipotle.
Beyond this one incident, there seems to be a broader issue with morale and management style. Staff rarely appear engaged or welcoming, and I’ve observed frequent, public criticism from management toward employees. It gives the impression of a high-turnover, high-stress work environment.
I hope this location can improve its approach to both customer service and employee treatment, because as a frequent customer, I’d like to continue coming back—but not under these conditions. Worst comes to worst, visit La Bodega for better overall quality.

I used to come to this location at least once a week before LA Fitness had their big renovation. Now, I think they’ve changed management cause the food quality has really gone down.
The last three times I’ve gone there was always something they were out of (usually either brown rice or veggies). I ordered pick up today with double chicken and I swear there was less chicken than the single serving. There were also a ton of burnt bits.
I’ve also seen who I assume to be a manager be incredibly rude to their staff. The regular staff were always very friendly. I noticed one of the guys who seems to always be there is a little slower putting the food together but puts in the effort to make sure your food is organized with proper amounts.
I keep hoping it’ll be better each time I go thinking “oh maybe they were really busy”or “maybe someone called out”. Unfortunately the pattern has stayed consistent and I really can’t justify going back and being continuously disappointed.
