I made reservations months prior to Mother’s Day because i know how fast the Grand concourse gets booked up for brunch on holidays. It was for two me and my daughter. A lot changed since the last time i been there. Our reservation was at 10:15 am and there was not enough variety of options to call it brunch in my opinion. There was no chocolate fountain no desserts and no fruit at all. I was highly disappointed and didn’t think it was worth $65 per adult. What i ate on my two plates i could’ve got at a Dennys for cheaper than $65. I also made reservations for Father’s Day and unfortunately I will not be attending. I don’t think I’ll ever come back for brunch.
Honestly, this experience ruined my Mother’s Day. The service was absolutely amazing, but the food was disgusting. This was my first time here and honestly might genuinely be my last time. I thought I was getting a full menu experience, not a buffet and I wasn’t aware that Mother’s Day or big holidays Are buffets. Everything was nasty. I didn’t even finish nothing on my plate. The only good thing was my mango Mojito. The atmosphere is very chaotic, beautiful but chaotic. The cold air was on which made her food cold. I ended up getting a pizza after just to wash down this food.

This is a place we want to love, but always falls short. Tonight will be our last visit to the Grand Concourse. The last three times we've gone, we had reservations, but had to wait 20-45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we wait 20 minutes just to get our water. Our servers are always very nice, but the food is not. The lobster was so salty and overcooked, it was inedible. The asparagus was tasless and mushy. The steaks were pretty good, but for $80, I would expect a good steak. Why have we kept going back? The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous and esthetically there's no place that compares. We just keep hoping the wait times and food will improve, but after dropping over a thousand dollars on our last three visits, we're finished. I hope others have a better experience as the Grand Concourse is a beautiful and classy establishment that takes you back in time.
We went for a company event (55 people). The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, but the food and service were terrible.
We had the choice of 3 entrees, which included a filet. I ordered medium rare, but the server told me, “We’re only offering medium.” WHAT RESTAURANT SERVES FILET MEDIUM?!
When I finally got my filet, I WISH it had been medium. It was a hockey puck!
The servers were borderline rude and it took over 30 minutes to get our first drinks (soda, wine, etc.). They knew they were getting a mandatory 20% tip.
This place might be good for a couple or very small group, but I would NOT recommend it for large groups.

Okay, let's leave a positive review for Grand Concourse. There's just so much negativity in the world today. So let's try to keep this one positive.
The atmosphere here is lovely, and I liked the bar area. An old woman who ditched her tour group called me a handsome young man, so that was nice.
The servers were excellent, the valet had no trouble hiding their embarrassment at having to drive my beat up 2013 Nissan Leaf. Very professional.
The food was...cooked.
A pile of mashed potatoes that removed itself completely from my plate when I stuck my fork in it was certainly novel.
The green beans were definitely green and beaning.
The chocolate mousse was...mousse. The creme brulee was...in a dish.
The Grand Concourse is a Pittsburgh staple with a legacy. Sometimes legacy can be a noose.
