  It's good but overrated and overpriced. I don't have any complaints beyond the service also being mediocre; with that and the not-far-above-average steak quality, I don't think the high price and esteemed reputation are fully warranted.

  Stephen was a great waiter and truly went above and beyond to make our dinner a great experience. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of. I would definitely recommend requesting Stephen when you come in for dinner!

  I’m writing this review a month after our visit and we’re still talking about how good this meal was. Like, looking at these pictures as I write captions has my mouth watering. We visited Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse as a part of August’s Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. We’re so grateful that they participate with a discounted menu because this would normally be out of our price range, and I’m actually not sure I would’ve enjoyed my meal as much if we paid full price because I’d want a bit more from the portion sizes for the price of the regular menu. Even though we dined from the “discount” menu, the quality of service and food was top notch. The food was PHENOMENAL. Every single dish wowed us. The crab cake was mostly crab meat and so tender, the wagyu meatballs had a perfect light tomato sauce to complement the tender and juicy meatball, the short rib tender and surprisingly lean, and the chicken- we’re pausing on the chicken because it was my husband’s meal and he let me try some and I was instantly jealous. The most crispy and delicious skin with moist and tender meat and incredible gravy, I asked our waiter how on earth they do it because it was so incredible (spoiler: it involves broiling in a ridiculously hot oven). I didn’t expect a chicken dish to blow me away like it did. Okay back to the list: the butter cake was an excellent texture and decadent, the mousse rich and in a chocolate bowl (a fun surprise). Even the bread was so buttery and soft, it came fresh out of the oven and was so good. My only critique is that I’d want more horseradish whipped potatoes than they serve with the short rib because they were addicting. I don’t think I have enough words to explain how much we enjoyed this meal, but it’s very high up on our list of best meals ever. Some logistical notes: -There is valet parking but also street and garage options a short walk away. If you park on the street, it’s free after 6pm. -There is a dress code (details in the last picture)- show up snazzy! -Make reservations in advance, this is a VERY popular spot.
