  I first ate here back in 2007. I have since moved back to the west coast but everytime I’m in the area (long haul truck driver) I uber to the city just to eat here. The food has been consistent and incredible for the last 20 years and it’s always worth the trip. The beet salad is seasonal but it’s my absolute favorite along with the crab and lobster Tortelloni. the service is always incredible as well. It does get a bit cramped when it’s busy but they have outside seating too. Some of the best food in the city and I’ll always make the time to come here

  It's been awhile since we last had dinner at Mercato, and based on the food last night, I wish we ate here much more often. Mercato is a BYOB, Italian influenced, and their food is simply delicious. Since there were four of us, and their starters looked so good, and we are gearing up for bathing suit season, our "dates" didn't want too much pasta (which is excellent here!!!). So we ordered the grilled artichokes, caesar salad, mussels, and their meatballs, all small plates but very nice portions! Then we all shared the short rib ravioli, which was incredible. What could be better in Philly, than great food at a BYOB, and did I mention the open kitchen 😉, with wonderful servers! Thank you Mercato 👏👏👏!

  Jill was amazing. So informative. Painted the picture of each dish perfectly. Our experience was seamless and we enjoyed the food (per usual).

  We had a great experience at Mercato! The food was delicious from start to finish. We began with the whipped ricotta appetizer, which was creamy and flavorful, and a perfect way to start the meal. For the main course, I had the rigatoni vodka, and it was excellent and rich, well-balanced, and cooked just right. We ended with the tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet finish. Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience with great food. Rita was a very good server. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out perfectly.
