I’ve eaten here a number of times, and I feel more than ready to sing the praises of Good Hatch Eatery to the world. Everyone who works here is genuinely lovely—always eager to help with your order, offer recommendations, or just chat about your day.
The space is clean, vibrant, and welcoming, with a strong sense of community no matter what time you visit. The small grocery section is a fun bonus, offering an impressive variety of high-quality items for its size. I can always count on finding an unconventional snack or drink that makes a spontaneous visit feel a little more special.
The breakfast sandwiches are superb. The caramelized onions are a perfect signature touch that elevates an already excellent egg sandwich. The cheesesteaks are incredibly flavorful, with a perfect meat-to-cheese ratio, soft seeded bread, and spot-on seasoning—something I really appreciate in a great cheesesteak. The smoothies lean health-forward and aren’t overly sweet, which I love. I’m already looking forward to plenty of smoothie runs this summer.
And then there’s the coffee—truly glorious. It’s consistently delicious, fresh, and hot. I believe they use Vibrant beans, though I could be mistaken. Either way, it reminds me of the kind of coffee you’d imagine being served at Luke’s in Stars Hollow.
Sure, you could point to slightly higher prices if you’re being picky, but in my opinion, it’s well worth it. Everything is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and high quality, and the service is outstanding—especially compared to a certain coffee shop nearby who serves the chilliest vibes and almost makes you want to apologize for buying anything. Skip the grumpy baristas and go to Good Hatch instead!
