Came for a concert which was lovely. Probably wouldn’t come back unless it was an event I was extremely interested in.
Service was very slow, although everyone was nice. Food was INSANELY overpriced and pretty mediocre. Hummus has no flavor, cheese plate was sparse. Drinks were decent but again just ended up being a very expensive night for entirely unimpressive spread. Also the tables are TINY we had to really work to fit the hummus and cheese plates.
I get the main point is to come for the concert/event, but the overall experience doesn’t particularly make me want to come back.

For years I had heard about City Winery, but I was always reluctant to go — even when artists from some of my favorite genres were performing. However, I could not pass up the opportunity to see the Chuck Brown Band!
I absolutely loved the experience. Not only was the band awesome, but the atmosphere, service, and food all exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back!!!!

Last night was our first time at City Winery for the Keiko Matsui concert. We took SEPTA regional rail to the Jefferson Station. The venue is a quick walk from the station, so we didn't have to deal with traffic and parking. The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was that of a cool jazz club. My husband and I both liked the place. The only negative point I'd like to make is that my husband and I were not served our dinner at the same time. I received my salad and chicken skewer first. After waiting about 15 minutes, my husband asked a server (not ours) when he could expect his entree. The server apologized and explained that the meals are delivered when they are ready. A few minutes later, our server stopped by and apologized and explained again. A few minutes later, my husband received his entree--and a side of fries. When we received the bill at the end of the night, we noticed that we weren't charged for the delayed entree. We didn't expect that great customer service. But, we still thought it was weird that two people out for dinner and a show weren't served their entrees at the same time. I had a salad which could have been held until my husband's entree was ready--making for a much nicer dining experience. We've been to other venues that have dinner and a show (Chris's Jazz Cafe, Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, and the Dakota in Minneapolis) and we've always been served at the same time. In spite of this, we loved the place and will be back!

My party and I saw a mouse in the main dining room and watched as it came from behind the wine barrel and back multiple times. We also witnessed the rodent go near the host stand, just a few feet away from us, right next to our server, and back into hiding. Keep in mind this occurred during the very busy dinner hour the night of a show. While this was unfortunately noticed after our meal, we still felt it was necessary to make the staff aware of it. When this issue was brought to the attention of the employees, they said they were already aware of the issue and overall responded in a nonchalant, careless way. The hostess used the location of the restaurant as an excuse for the rodent, but that did not help the situation or provide any reassurance at all. This is a large and beautiful event space that handles different kinds of foods and holds hundreds of people at once. I would hate for someone to become sick due to the (apparent) lack of pest control.

Came for a show and it was decent. I ordered 6 wings (really 3 broke in half) and they charged me $22.00 for 3 chicken wings smh 🤦🏾 wow!! To add insult to injury the server was rude and musty, despite my efforts to be friendly, he demanded payment after I asked to review an itemized bill. People are paying to have a nice time not paying for rude service and over priced unseasoned food. I did speak with the manager and he offered a discount to make my experience right but still it should never get to a point where the manager has to get involved. Please lower your prices and provide better customer service. I will not be returning here!
