Very terrific place for an after-theatre meal. Our service from Jenna was first-rate.

My sister and I had a great lunch! Our server was (i think Jenna) and she was attentative and accommodating to my sister's nut allergy. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich and she had French toast, both delicious!

Butcher Bar — Fallon for the Plot Review Good service deserves applause. Bad service deserves notes. Let me just start here: Johnny, our server, is an actual angel. Yes, he took incredible care of us at the table—attentive, intuitive, immediately adjusting the patio temperature when we mentioned it was too warm. But that’s not even the headline. I left my credit card behind. This man remembered—from casual conversation—that we were heading to Helium Comedy Club. He left work, walked in the rain from Butcher Bar to the club, came inside, found me at my table, and handed me my card. If my boyfriend wasn’t there, I would have kissed him on the lips. That’s the level of service we’re talking about. Johnny, if you ever see this—round of applause. Standing ovation. Lifetime achievement award. Now—the food. We leaned into appetizers and shared plates: - Pretzel bread: warm, soft, delicious - Short rib toast: rich, well-executed - Korean short ribs (special): standout, flavorful, absolutely worth ordering - Bone marrow luge: fun, aesthetic, very “for the plot”—but the whiskey and marrow didn’t really enhance each other - Burger: solid, satisfying - Filet: cooked well, flavorful And then… the onion rings. I don’t know what happened there, but they tasted like manure. A full outlier in an otherwise strong lineup. Cocktails Several specialty cocktails were ordered across the table, and not a single complaint. Everything was well executed—clearly not from a mix. The bartender knows what they’re doing. Each drink felt thoughtfully crafted, properly garnished, and served in glassware that matched the aesthetic. The Scene & Experience We sat on the covered patio during a rainy night. There were a few drips hitting two people in our party throughout the meal, which wasn’t ideal. That said, the space itself is comfortable, and the ability to adjust temperature quickly is a plus (shoutout again to Johnny for handling that immediately). Observation Great food will bring you in. Service like that will have you talking about it for weeks. Notes - Remove or revisit the onion rings recipe immediately - Address rain leakage on the covered patio seating Verdict: No Notes (because Johnny tipped the scale into legend status) Round of applause. No notes.
