  I had a terrible experience with ACME's online delivery service. On September 18th, 2026, my delivery arrived completely missing our entire deli bag containing over $40 worth of meat and cheese. The local store staff confirmed the items were prepared but missing from their facility. ACME utilizes third-party delivery services but seemingly offers little to no accountability or structure when an entire order or a part of it is compromised. To make matters worse, ACME corporate customer service completely failed to resolve this transaction. They dragged their feet and officially denied my refund twice without even calling to get the details as promised. Days have passed, and the full payment went to this store but I didnt receive all items. This lack of oversight and refusal to issue a refund for missing food is unacceptable. Be wary of this store's online delivery service, as there doesn't appear to be consequences for failed deliveries or true accountability if something goes wrong.   You would think the constant odor in and outside of the store would be the crux of my review. But no, somehow the experiences as a shopper at this store are worse. Basically, the set up is about 20 self check out lines, and TWO lines with actual cashiers-- most times I've went in there's actually only one cashier working so there is a huge line full of Doordashers or alcohol buyers, and it can often take 30-45 minutes to check out. Now, I will say when I get the woman cashier, I have never had an issue-- she is very sweet and always asks about your day-- but there has never been a time I have gone to ACME and not witnessed the male cashier get into an altercation with customers. I understand that a lot of it might just be customers being upset with the store's policies, or incorrect price labeling; but the cashier's response to customer concerns is borderline belittling and embarrassing to see while waiting in line. On top of this, there have been multiple times when this same male cashier will tell people waiting to move into one line, then allow people to walk up and skip said line-- thus leading to more arguments from the customers. Again, I don't know if these things are truly the policy like he says, but they are nonetheless bad policies that should be reconsidered with the customer's experience in mind. All in all, there is really nothing about this store that encourages shoppers to come back-- outside of a convenient location if you are a Penn student, maybe.

  Constant camera surveillance disrupting the shopping experience. I tried to buy some groceries and the Orwellian Acme doesn't have bags, so I put groceries in my tote bag after scanning and it kept flagging me. Just once I'd like an interaction here where I don't feel the full weight of dystopia. Just beyond excessive.
