  App doesn't work in the store. Your hit with some sale prices as soon as you enter, but only if you go on line to get them. Some prices are still high. Store is very clean though. Customer service is good.

  I order my groceries to be delivered from Acme. Today the DoorDash driver left my almost $200 delivery at the wrong address. I had no luck getting help from the app or trying to contact via phone through the app. I ended up calling the store, and a wonderful, helpful clerk named Michael helped me. He had the order “re-shopped “ and delivered to me. Having a live person who does his job well restored my faith in doing business. Thank you, Michael, and than you, Paoli Acme.

  This review is specifically for the bakery section at the Acme in Paoli and custom cake orders because I have had 2 bad experiences just in the month of May. The most recent was yesterday. I ordered a birthday cake for my son online over a week ago on 5/23, got a text confirmation on 5/24. It was supposed to be ready for pickup at 9:30am on 5/31. His party started at 11am. I arrived a little after that time and both staff members looked very confused as they didn’t have the order ready. I showed the one staff member the order confirmation on my phone so she quickly jotted down what I ordered (it was a sheet cake with a Jurassic World border) and said she could make it in 10 minutes and that the order would probably appear once she turned the computer on (??). I don’t understand how a cake ordered a week prior was not ready. I circled back 10 minutes later to see the employee frantically putting the cake together. The border was paper she had to cut to size and she was putting it together so poorly, the paper was rippled in areas and it just looked terrible with the white from the edges of the paper borders being visible. The border was peeling off before I even cut the cake for the party. She also added extra designs that I didn’t ask for. It ended up taking her almost 30 minutes to put together. She took $18 off my order, but it was just a total disappointment. Earlier in the month I ordered a cake in store from the same employee. I asked for red writing and when I came to pick it up, the writing was in blue. There were also berries on the cake and I specifically asked to leave off the glaze and that was not done even though I saw her write it down on the order form. I have never left a negative review but this bakery used to be my go to for birthday cakes and it will no longer be. It really seems like more training needs to be done for staff members.
