After yesterday’s experience, I would like to provide an update. The General Manager, Maddy, reached out to me personally to address and reconcile the situation. She was very pleasant and professional to communicate with, and I truly appreciated her willingness to listen and take the matter seriously.
Maddy assured me that the situation would be addressed appropriately to help prevent something like this from happening again. I appreciate her taking the time to follow up and make an effort to resolve my concerns. While the initial experience was disappointing, I am grateful for the follow-up and the commitment to improving the customer experience moving forward.

Today, we stopped at Checkers after a long day and placed an order through the app to take home for our family. We chose Checkers thinking we could get a quick meal and head home, but unfortunately, this turned into one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a fast-food restaurant.
Our order was supposed to be ready at approximately 7:05 PM, but we did not receive it until closer to 7:30 PM. After already waiting nearly 30 minutes, we received our food only to discover that a spicy chicken sandwich was missing from our order.
I went back to the window and explained that we were missing the sandwich. I was told to park in the same spot and that someone would bring it out to us. We waited another 20–30 minutes, and when no one came, I went back to the window. At that point, the employees acted as though they were completely unaware that we had been waiting.
By this point, the food we had already received was cold, and we were frustrated and ready to leave and go somewhere else. I asked for a refund and offered to return the food since we had been waiting so long and could no longer reasonably eat it. I was told that they could not issue a refund because the order had been placed through the app. I was also told that they would not remake the food so that our entire order could be served hot.
Instead, I was instructed to call the number provided through the app to request a refund. I pulled into a parking spot and called the number, only to discover that the call routed me back to the same location and essentially the same people I had just been dealing with at the window. At that point, they finally agreed to remake the food.
After another five minutes, I was given what was supposed to be our remade order. However, the food was still cold, and we were still missing items from our order.
When I returned to the window yet again to explain that items were still missing, the employee actually tried to argue with me and insisted that we were not missing any food. I had to pull up our order and show proof that we were, in fact, still missing two orders of fries.
At this point, this was no longer just an issue of a delayed order. It was the repeated lack of communication, poor customer service, failure to provide the food we paid for, and the unwillingness to take responsibility for correcting the situation.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a food establishment. It is especially disappointing because this is the only Checkers location I am aware of in our area, and unfortunately, our experiences there over the past several months seem to be getting progressively worse.
We paid for a complete meal and did not receive what we paid for. We also spent an unreasonable amount of time waiting, repeatedly returning to the window, and trying to get the situation corrected.
I have reached out on the website to the corporate company and I hope management and the appropriate corporate representatives will take this complaint seriously, investigate what happened, and take steps to prevent other customers from experiencing the same level of frustration and poor service.
This experience was completely unacceptable and far below the level of customer service I would expect from Checkers.
