  They like to sell expired meat, customer service sucks especially at self check out. They definitely need to conduct better customer service classes for the associates and managers.

  April 26, 2026 I attempted to use a MasterCard gift card that had $25 on it. I specifically told the cashier the amount and I would pay the rest with my regular card or cash. Card was declined, but a 50 cent hold was put on the card. The hold remains on the card to this date (16 days). I called customer service since the merchant (Giant) placed the hold on the card. I was told it was not their problem, call the card issuer. The card issuer did not put the hold on the card, Giant did. Needless to say I can't get full value on my card due to negligence of the cashier. I guess if my business doesn't earn enogh consideration to get this minor issue rectified, a major issue could be impossible to resolve. There are plenty of other places to get grocery / pharmacy needs fulfilled. Maybe I need to consider that. Shame to have to fo that since the store is just around the corner from my neighborhood.
