IF I COULD DO ZERO STARS I WOULD , THIS PLACE NEEDS TO WORK ON WHATEVER IS GOING ON IN THAT STORE !!!! I did call corporate
I wanted to share an experience I had today, 6/8/2026, around 4:05–4:10 PM at your Levittown location, which I understand only opened a few months ago.
I walked in with my three children and ordered three bowls, all made the same way. When I got to the steak, I asked the employee serving me, Sam, if they had any additional steak coming out because the steak on the line looked very dry and did not appear fresh. For bowls that cost around $18 each, I simply wanted fresh steak and was willing to wait if more was being prepared.
Sam went to check, and while she was doing so, the cook began visibly reacting to my question. I heard her say, "It's going to look the same," in an irritated tone. Sam then came back and told me there wasn't any better steak available.
At that point, I politely said, "No worries, I'll just go to another location," and began walking out with my three children.
As I was leaving, I could clearly hear the cook talking about me to Sam because I had asked for fresh steak. I turned around and watched her point at the steak and continue discussing me. When she realized I could see and hear her, I said, "If you have something to say to me, please say it to my face. Don't wait until I walk away to talk about me."
The cook then became louder and argumentative. I repeatedly explained that all I had done was ask for fresh steak. Shortly after, a male employee came out yelling, "Whoa, what's the problem?" which I found wildly inappropriate. As an employee who did not know the situation, his approach should have been calm and professional, especially considering I was standing there with my three young children, ages 6, 3, and 1.
Once I explained what had happened, his response was simply, "Oh."
The employee who served me was Sam. The primary issue was the cook, a woman who appeared to be in her mid-50s blonde hair. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. I then asked the two younger employees, and both claimed they didn't know her name, which I found hard to believe. While they appeared uncomfortable with the situation, they still failed to handle it appropriately.
My concerns are:
The cook openly talked about a customer as soon as she believed I was leaving.
The cook became argumentative over a simple request for fresh food.
The male employee approached the situation by yelling instead of calmly asking how he could help.
The employees refused to identify the cook when asked.
To be clear, my complaint is not that fresh steak wasn't available. My complaint is how I was treated after making a reasonable request. If I am paying nearly $18 per bowl, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect food that looks fresh or to ask whether a fresher batch is coming out.
I ultimately left without purchasing anything because of the behavior and lack of professionalism displayed by multiple employees.
