- IGIsabella Wise (Gracie)Aug 16, 20261.0I’ve been coming to this Acme for many years, so it’s disappointing to see how much it has declined. There are often few or no regular checkout lanes open, leaving customers to use self checkout, scan and bag their own groceries, and even pay for bags, while prices remain high. The meat and seafood counters are often closed, produce is lacking, and tonight the store had an unpleasant smell. What really bothered me tonight was being hovered over and closely watched at self checkout when there was absolutely no issue with our transaction. I am extremely conscientious about making sure everything is scanned and paid for, so being made to feel like I was under suspicion was genuinely upsetting. After years of shopping here, I left feeling uncomfortable enough that I don’t plan on going back.

There was another gentleman there who was turned away also. If you close at 7::00, then close at 7:00 especially if you have people waiting. The young lady behind the counter stated it was a decision from higher up and that was that. Not the way to run a business. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Not to worry though; Giant was happy to take my money.
