This is a super cute cafe that looks like a great spot to bring your laptop for a work-from-home day. The coffee was good. I ordered an iced caramel latte and my husband got a cold brew (which looked like it had ice cubes made of coffee?!)
Unfortunately, the food was subpar, especially given the price. I ordered ‘The Milton’ because I love a good smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers combo. While all the components were technically there, the sandwich desperately needed a proper schmear of cream cheese…the kind that oozes out because it's applied to both sides of the bread. Instead, it looked like they ran out and just gave me whatever was left over. Without enough condiment, the bread felt super dry (see pic).
My husband rated his ‘Your Jersey’s Showing’ sandwich a 3/5. Again, they were incredibly light-handed with the condiments; it was supposed to come with sriracha ketchup, but he couldn’t taste it at all, and his bread was dry too.
UPDATE: I went back as I said I would and the pastries were great! I had a chocolate cherry pop-tart and my husband had a crumb cake (I think). Both were delicious! I hope they take my suggestions on the actual food.
That said, I’m willing to give this place another chance in hopes that the food improves, and I'd still like to return to try the pastries.
Bottom line: Come for the coffee and the vibes, but be wary of the food.
