  For many years, I have done my grocery shopping at the Giant on Centerville Road. However, over the past year, we have noticed that the cashiers act annoyd, do not seem to be there to assist or perhaps lack customer service training. We decided to try this particular Giant store, and to our pleasant surprise, every employee was friendly. When we went to pay for our items, they did not act as if we were an inconvenience; instead, they were helpful and cheerful. They made eye contact, engaged in conversations, and were always willing to assist. Even my recent online shopping experience was excellent. They were out of a specific item I had purchased, and they went the extra mile to call me and inquire if I would like a substitution for the particular flavor I had initially chosen. Brooke, Matt, and Brianna did an excellent job. I am truly grateful to have now discovered my new supermarket. Thank you all for making me and my family feel so welcome in your store.

  Was there today and once again things that were on sale for the week were sold out and not restocked. Even went to Centerville and it was the same. Also, did anyone have their points taken away? I had 50 cents in gas points last week and this week I got 20 today but my 50 were gone and nobody in either store could explain why. Was planning on using them this weekend for gas. Guess now I won’t since they disappeared into thin air!!! Once again I was there today(Thursday), sale items not restocked. No buttermilk, no Bounty 4 pack triple rolls, no raspberries. It is ridiculous every week when I go for something it is sold out. It is not fair to those of us that shop at the end of the week. I am NOT making special trips for specials!!!!!!!!!!

  After completing my purchase at the self-checkout, I exited the store briefly to continue a phone conversation. Once finished, I re-entered the store to use the restroom while waiting for public transportation. Upon leaving the store afterward, I was falsely accused of not paying for my merchandise and was physically prevented from exiting by an employee. This was the same staff member who had been monitoring the self-checkout area during my transaction. The employee ran toward me in an aggressive manner, creating the impression that I was about to be physically restrained, which was extremely alarming and inappropriate. Even after I presented my receipt as proof of payment, I did not receive an apology for the false accusation or the aggressive behavior. As someone who lives with PTSD, this incident had a significant and lasting emotional impact. I was a regular customer at this location due to its convenience along my daily route; however, this experience has made me feel unwelcome and hesitant to return. I have not returned since.
