Firstly, let me start with the biggest singular reason I keep coming back here... Irene, Charina & Ginny, as well as the rest of the staff are the absolute best. True rays of sunshine on a cloudy day. The food is delicious but the service with a genuine smile, I think, actually makes the food taste better. On that note, thats a hard task too, because the food is amazing & creative. The menu always has some of the regular favorites you can count on when not feeling adventurous, but then there is an ever changing addendum to the menu born of love and doing things just a tinge different. So if youre looking for the down home standards, incredible sweets, or a different than normal meal... this is the place, and whether you like it or not, you'll get the best service ever. #IreneIsTheGoat

This is my favorite restaurant in that area. The service is so-so but it’s because they are packed on weekends which is a great indication of the quality of food they offer. The menu is diner/brunch food but it’s so unique and some stuff is season driven. Worth every penny!

Great portions add to the fantastic food. I went for breakfast and had the Memphis omelet. I was able to try the Scrambler. I didn't have to wait and was seated right away, although it was very busy we came at the right time! Coffee was very good and leans on the dark side. Refills cost nothing more. The omelet was fluffy and loaded with cheese and pulled pork with a light topping of bar be cue over the top. I love cheese so this really hits the spot! The flavor was spot on and it wasn't overly salty as was my only concern. The sauce on top was sweet without being uneven, and anyone wanting more should ask when ordering. The home fries had hints of garlic and fully cooked, really good compliment to anything you could order. Toast was buttered and good (I chose rye), of you want jelly ask when ordering, although you will have that offered when a plate comes. Creammed chipped beef was tasty and plenty of it. Again, not salty so impressed with the flavor!
Food came out fast and Ginny was great. Kid friendly and the pancakes look amazing. A bit loud when the rooms are packed, but i was still able to carry on a conversation. Parking can be a little tricky if you've never been there before and please tuck your chair in, it's a little tight on space. Since the food is great I can understand the waiting to get in please make sure to arrive a little early if you have a larger family group coming in. Highly recommend and I'll be back to try more of the offerings!
We walked into AnnaMaries at 8:45 AM, got seated immediately, and thought, “Wow, this might actually be a smooth morning.”
That optimism lasted about ten minutes, exactly how long it took for our waitress (the only competent human in the building) to take our order before vanishing into the chaos she was clearly forced to survive. To be fair, the coffee was good. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that was.
Then came the hour and a half wait. For breakfast. Not a wedding banquet. Not Thanksgiving. Just Breakfast. By the time the food arrived, we were considering filing missing‑person reports for our patience.
Here’s the highlight reel of disappointment:
Cold food, including chipped beef which is impressive because that dish is basically supposed to be lava. Potatoes so overloaded with garlic that we’re confident Dracula personally crossed Birdsboro off his travel list. Portions so tiny they looked like they were plated by someone who resents breakfast as a concept. Noise level set to “airport runway.”
Only the waitress apologized, because apparently management and ownership were on a stealth mission to avoid eye contact.
They did take $4 off because my father‑in‑law is a veteran, which was appreciated but after everything else, it felt more like a consolation prize for surviving the experience.
We won’t be returning. If we wanted cold food, tiny portions, and a 90‑minute wait, we’d just cook at home and intentionally mess it up. And sure, maybe they were short‑staffed or maybe a mass rush hit all at once or maybe every church in Birdsboro and Douglassville and Exeter emptied straight into the dining room, but none of that changes the fact that breakfast shouldn’t take longer than watching a full length movie. That’s just not something we’re willing to sit through again.
