  I like their hoagies and customer service, but the portions of meat and sometimes the quality of the bread are my main issues. A primo-sized cheesesteak costs around $16 after tax, but they only give you a small portion of steak on your sandwich: you bite into more bread than meat (as shown in the photo). I think the amount of meat they provide in relation to the price is not worth it. The cheesesteak does taste good though, and other sandwiches like the Sharp Italian do have good amounts of meat. With the bread, it can be stale and very chewy. The quality of the bread distracts from the hoagie’s taste. I’ve noticed if you order near opening, the bread is softer, but mid-afternoon is when I taste the staleness. The quality can be inconsistent. Despite these concerns, the dining room always remains very clean and welcoming, and the staff are friendly. My only critiques would be the generosity with ingredients and the freshness of bread, especially given the cost.

  Girl walked up to take my order and was eating while taking my order. I got a cheesesteak and it was absolutely horrible for the price. Very disappointed over all

  Primo is the ONLY place I will eat a hoagie from being born and raised in Philly. Always get an Old Italian or Sharp Italian, and its the closest thing to a real Italian Philly hoagie in the Lehigh Valley. All the rest dont even come close!

  Back in the glory days at PrimoHoagies on Catasaqua Road — where half the sandwiches fell apart and the other half somehow made me believe I was a professional chef. Funny how we used to think we’d be there forever, yet everyone moved on to better things. Still, nothing beats those “good old days” when I was young and smelled like onions! 😩 I even crave that Turkey Schwartzie!

  The cheese steak I had was okay, tho I had better cheese steaks for much less money at other convenience stores, possibly just my taste buds. I wish they had hot sides in addition of just a couple cold sides, bottled drinks, and bags of chips. Not too great of an experience overall. I do praise them for making the sandwich from scratch upon ordering.
