  PROFILING!!!! Ive went into this store multiple times since living close to the area since having a child I started going earlier in the day, the older ( particularly white) staff has been an issue twice in a row now, first there was a staff watching self checkout while I had me and my child who proceeded to ask and double check if i purxhased the wipes and baby food I placed on the bottom of the cart due to my baby being inside and not wanting to risk damage. Thought nothing of it because she’s just doing her job, right? However, when I then proceeded to ask her for help with the giant gift cards I had received she responds with the attitude Saying “well, just like ANY other card you swipe it just cause it’s a bunch of giant gift cards it’s gonna take very long” she didn’t realize I was there with a friend at a different self checkout. She was older than me and she treated her with very much more respect. Nevertheless, I return there again today, earlier in the morning. Shop Once again as I proceed to self checkout, I’m scanning all my items and I must have missed a banana scan because they’re self checked registers are messed up and glitch And a new older white man Who is not working self checkout, but seem to be security asked me if I scanned the bananas however, he asked multiple times rudely when staff was already coming to help me. I told him she is coming to help and he then proceeded with an attitude telling me “well they weren’t scanned.” I ignored it continue to keep scanning stuff. He’s now watching me and even moves closer to the other side of self checkout so that he can see the register. I ignore that as well and as I am going to look up the items to put into scale, he starts shouting at me. You need to put it on the scale. You need to put it on the scale, but I had not even put the correct vegetable in at this point even customers are shocked with their mouth open, looking at him and me and the actual GIANT staff member who is meant to be watching self checkout even told me she doesn’t understand why he’s doing that and apologized. He wrote something down on a piece of paper, even after watching me scan everything and then when I was walking out to leave, I had mentioned to him why he kept singling me out when he seen everybody else then he proceeded to say it’s because the banana weren’t scanned and instead of asking for help I just put it in the bag assuming that I was trying to steal however, I did not realize the bananas were not scanned and I seen the staff member was already on her way to help me when I try to explain that to him he starts to walk away from me so I called GIANT later in the day to make a report myself through the phone and as soon as they hear that they purposely put me on hold and never answer for 10 minutes Please do not stop at this giant there are many others if you’re of color or young they do profile and it does not get taken serious, but it has happened multiple times and that’s just not okay!

  Shitty customer service. 9/1 634pm guy behind customer service desk had a bad attitude and was unwilling to help checkout customers when the store was busy
