The Spicy Heat Smashburger was the best burger I’ve ever had!
Was in town from Texas and came in for a cheesesteak but they had run out for the day. Was going to leave to find another cheesesteak joint but Lou convinced me to try a smashburger. Got it to go and was just going to take a single bite before I started driving - I devoured immediately it in the car and walked right back in to buy another. So good!
I ordered the chicken sandwich with cheese fries and a chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Everything was delicious but the milkshake was the best shake I’ve had in a while and the sandwich was perfect, great temperature and crispness.

The food is amazing. Probably the best burger and chicken sandwich you will get in Allentown. However, that doesn’t compare to the customer service. You experience when you enter the love and kindness is unparalleled. Only thing I can say is everyone should stop by at least once to experience with it for themselves. It is among the best food and the best service he will get in Lehigh Valley. You will not regret a trip and you will definitely not regret their burger.

Stopped at Cousin’s Burger in Allentown today and I’ve got to tell you, this cheesesteak was fantastic.
I ordered their USDA Prime ribeye cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp cheese and grilled onions. Since I’m eating low-carb, I skipped the roll and had them put the whole thing in a container.
And this is where you find out whether a cheesesteak is actually good. Take away the bread and there’s nowhere for the meat and cheese to hide.
The ribeye was chopped perfectly, juicy, well seasoned, and they gave me a ton of it. The Cooper Sharp was melted all through the steak and onions, exactly the way I like it. I honestly didn’t miss the roll.
Cousin’s serves Zabiha halal meat, and I really like what they’re doing with the place. It sits right on the corner and has seating inside as well as outdoor seating. The Allentown mural inside featuring local landmarks gives the place some personality instead of that cookie-cutter restaurant feel.
One thing you should know before you go: parking can be tough, so give yourself a little extra time to find a spot. Once you’re inside, though, it’s worth it.
If you’re looking for a cheesesteak in Allentown, or you’re eating low-carb and wondering whether you can still get a legit cheesesteak without the roll, Cousin’s Burger absolutely worked for me.

The burger was really good, but the portions were a little skimpy . I got cheese fries, and they barely had any cheese, definitely not like they were advertised, and they were also soggy. My girlfriend got chicken tenders, and they were barely fried, soggy, and barely breaded. One of them wasn’t even breaded at all. Cashier told us the tenders were a good size, but once received it was just 2 small tenders that were barely cooked.
The place wasn’t terrible, but spending $40 on food that wasn’t properly cooked was disappointing. The burger was the highlight, but the chicken tenders definitely need some work.
