  Went thru checkout #3 today. Susan was the cashier. Placed 4 12 packs of soda on the conveyor belt because they were covering other groceries. Cashier said to just put one, but I explained that I couldn't get to the groceries under and that was why I was putting them all on the conveyor. I said I could lift them if she needed me to. She proceeded to scan and pretty much throw the 12 packs into the bagging area. Got thru with payment and Susan said "thank you for your compassion". I looked at her...she looked angry. I said "are you being sarcastic?". She said "very much so". I said she was being very rude. She said no, you are rude. I was flabbergasted! I couldn't believe what just happened. She said to go away or get out of here....I'm not sure, I was so in shock. I went straight to the service center and told the lady there what had happened. She said she would tell the manager and have Susan talked to. I won't be shopping there and i have told my family and friends who have all been appalled at this treatment.

  I was in the middle of doing money transfers with my bank and the lady at the register refused to allow me to to any purchases or any more of my banking because she thought it was a scam even though I had proof and verification it wasnt

  I was very disappointed with my experience at deli. I ordered the $9.99 mixed chicken meal and was given four very small pieces, even though there were noticeably larger and better pieces available in the tray. When I asked about it, the employee responded with a poor attitude and simply said it was ‘mixed chicken.’ The explanation felt more like an excuse than an attempt to help. The customer service was just as disappointing as the portion size. I left feeling that the employee intentionally selected the smallest pieces available. I hope management addresses both the food quality and customer service issues.

  The selection at Safeway is pretty good, with fresh produce and a decent variety of groceries. However, I've noticed that the checkout lines can be a bit long during peak hours, which can be frustrating. Overall, it's a solid place to shop if you're not in a rush.
