The fact that I’m writing a review for a grocery store is weird to me, but trying to tell people to avoid an older man that’s sort of bald and tall that works at the check out area. He basically just threw all my groceries to the guy who was bagging them. I’m not exaggerating when I’m saying he literally just threw/tossed them rather than moving them nicely or scooting them. Said thank you for my receipt and I get a “yup” but in an annoyed way as well. Idk man go take your bad day somewhere else

Bruce is consistently extremely rude to customers, rude enough to leave a review for a grocery store. I try to avoid his lines as much as possible. I'm honestly suprised he's still there.

I went to this Safeway today, 05/25/26 around 11:30am. As I was walking outside, towards my car, I noticed that the Safeway employee who was working at the grill handling the ribs, was smoking a cigarette while waiting to see if customers would walk up and purchase. He then proceeded to put out the cigarette on the side of the building. He FAILED to go inside to WASH HIS HANDS or put hand sanitizeron. Mind you, hand sanitizer definitely is NOT even close to hand washing, but at least it would be something. We then saw him picking up tongs, opening the grill, and touching containers. He even picked up ribs without gloves on, all without washing hands. This is absolutely disgusting. I immediately called the store to let them know but whoever answered didn't seem too bothered by it. The person said they'll have a talk with that employee later. I just wanted to make everyone aware of this. This is totally unacceptable.

I have to say that I’ve been too quite a few of the Safeway’s in Albertsons around town and Morgan. Your self check out today. Energy is amazing. She just makes you wanna come back here. She’s so polite. She’s highly intelligent and she’s just silly and she made it a good time she’s wanted to do amazing customer service and take care of the customers. You guys need more employees like this half of your employees don’t even wanna do work in our show mean to even ask him for anything she had no problem going and getting me what I asked so I just think you guys should really give her a raise or she needs to be in management to cheer up the rest of your customers and employees

I stopped at Safeway this morning hoping to beat the Memorial Day crowds and enjoy an easy shopping trip. Unfortunately, when I went to check out at 8:03am, there were zero cashiers available. There were plenty of employees walking around, but I was told self-checkout was the only option. I had nearly $300 worth of groceries in a completely full cart and had to scan and bag every single item myself. Not one employee offered to help. What’s the point of paying grocery store prices if customers are expected to do all the work themselves? This was a frustrating experience and a reminder to shop at places like Whole Foods or New Seasons when I want actual customer service or WinCo if I’m expecting to bag my own groceries. Very disappointing experience, especially heading into a busy holiday weekend.
