  Was in the self check out and an item scanned at $4.99 and the shelf said $1.79. This invasive woman who reeked of cigarettes barges into my personal space, didn’t even listen to me that a young man was already taking care of it, and she started scanning all the other items! I wasn’t going to pay $4.99 for a 12 ounce Vanilla Chai Smoothie. I told her to take them all off. She snapped at me and said”I can guarantee you those are not $1.79”. It turns out they were $1.99 if you bought 3. She was so rude and clueless about her invasive and confrontational manner. I will never shop there again. Someone needs to educate her on how to socially interact with others. When I shop, I expect people to not invade my personal space, listen to me,

  I am so disappointed in this store and the customer service . I used the self checkout and the computer froze. Theanna, the customer service girl, had me come over to her counter, where she had to rescan my whole basket of groceries. She did it wrong, which I realized AFTER I got home. I had to drive all the way back to the store , using expensive gas and my time, to get her to fix her mistake and issue me a credit. I’m so upset. I will not use this store again.

  Worst Safeway on the planet. They didn't have one single thing I needed today. It's not supply chain bc everywhere else did. No longer a fan. I won't be trying to shop here again. This isn't the first or second or even 5th time. Save your gas.

  I shop at Safeway two to three times a month. I spend between $150 to $200 dollars a visit. Tonight, after we went out to dinner, I stopped at Safeway and loaded my cart up. When I went to find a cashier, I realized that there were none at any of the stations. I saw an employee overseeing the self checkout and asked what's up with no cashiers. He said that Safeway cuts them off at 8:00 PM and self check out was the only options. Here I am, with a full cart, looking back I should have just left the cart loaded and left. But no, I try to play cashier/bagger and there are quite a few people in line. I did my best, and almost finished when two items fell off the platform and splattered all over the floor. (cut up fresh fruit, that I had just paid for) So I load up what I had already bagged, and told the same employee that I made a mess. He said he had someone coming, and I saw a young man with a broom and a dust pan headed to me. I was embarrassed as hell, and walked out, minus $10 in fruit I had paid for. Had I known in advance this was store policy, I would have went to another store, even though I do like this particular Safeway store. I can't believe that Safeway can't keep one cashier on duty until closing time. It's a really crappy company policy and it will be a while before I come back.
