I don’t come to Chick-fil-A very often, and tonight I had a really frustrating experience with the newer Mobile Thru setup. I want to be fair—the mobile lane is labeled, and after I went back around specifically looking for the signs, I could see them. My issue is more with how unforgiving the system is if you miss them. For a long time, I was used to both lanes functioning as regular drive-thru lanes. Tonight, after a long day, I was essentially on autopilot and followed the familiar traffic pattern. By the time I realized I had entered the Mobile Thru lane, I was already committed to it. There was no employee taking orders in that lane, so I was sitting there trying to download/use the mobile ordering system and place an order on my phone while feeling rushed and overwhelmed. The employee was kind, and thankfully no one was behind me. However, I was told that if I couldn’t place a mobile order, the alternative was to continue all the way through without ordering, circle back around, get into the already-long regular drive-thru line, and start over. At that point, I honestly would have just left. I understand the purpose of having a dedicated mobile lane, and I’m not upset that the system changed. I just wish there were a more forgiving way to handle customers who accidentally enter it—especially when it replaces a traffic pattern customers may have used for years. Maybe additional signage before the lanes divide, a very prominent “MOBILE ORDERS ONLY” warning at the entrance, or some way for staff to accommodate an occasional mistaken customer. The goal shouldn’t be to eliminate every customer mistake; it should be to make a predictable mistake easy to recover from. Tonight what was supposed to be a little treat after a long day ended up being unnecessarily stressful.

My daughter came in and was having a hard day after a soccer game a worker named Allie brought her a stuffie and cookie for free and said she knows how it feels to have a hard day! People like this make faith in humanity seem like its going in the right direction

Ridiculous we went to the wrong line and instead of just taking our order they made us go through cones to go back into line. It wasn’t as if anyone was in the line for the mobile side. We could’ve waited our turn out after ordering

Restaurant is what you would expect from a chic-fil-a. Staff is great, food tasty for fast food. The only reason they aren't rated higher is because of the absolute joke of a traffic pattern to get into this restaurant. If you're going east on the belt line its near impossible to turn into their parking lot without stopping in the lane blocking traffic. The city of Springfield did them no favors with this lay out and I will often drive past and go somewhere else because its easier to drive right by instead of fight to get into their parking lot.

On my customer's profile, I specifically requested that my order is handed to me & not placed on the ground. In fact, I was observing the Chick-Fila driver to see if he was conscientious. He didn't ring my doorbell and proceeded to place the package on my doorstep. The young man needs to read & pay attention to the customer's requests, It may affect his earnings and worse, animals may disturb the food.
