Got the 50/50 shrimp rice bowl and it was all mixed together. Cajun mild is very tomato based. Like a spicy ketchup. If I came back I would only get the garlic butter. The order was called in and paid for as a pickup. When I got there I was informed they didn’t charge for all items. So they put me on the spot and had me pay the remaining balance even though this was supposed to a “my treat” from the person that placed the order. Not impressed with food or service.

Firstly , let me say that the servers were Super nice . But the all of the food we ordered (aside from the crab cakes which were pretty decent) ,tasted 'frozen/fishy/off' and was overly deep fried to the point of burnt . The Garlic sausage was *Swimming* in oil and about half cup of minced garlic . Couldn't even eat it and just threw it away . I give this place a year .

From Louisiana (Ville Platte and Natchitoches) and this was the worst attempt at Cajun I've ever tried. Gumbo was awful. Crawfish was gross rubbery tasteless you can tell it was precooked and frozen then revived. Sound good, nope. No remoulade! Traditional standard Cajun sides not even offered. Price of crawfish should reflect freshness, this was way overpriced for crawfish that could have been cooked a year and warmed. Wasn't cooked in a traditional boil format that's bursting with flavor, this had zero flavor!!!!! Bag o Crab restaurant had more authentic taste IMO. Way to misrepresent the most flavorful food in the USA this way breaks my heart. 💜💚💛 Restaurant was empty and coke came in a can.You can tell those that liked it never ate true Cajun food before, sadly still haven't. I'm still sticking with live crawfish boils order online or fisherman's market!

What a great place! I spent many wonderful childhood summer days with relatives on the Delmarva shore where we'd dig for clams in the backyard lagoon, or swing our bare feet from the dock behind the chicken houses like Tom and Huck. And catch blue crabs to take home in a bushel basket. Those idyllic days are gone now, replaced by beachfront condos. But the Red Roost is still there. If you know that area you know about the Red Roost. Sometimes the whole family gang would head out for a huge crab dinner, piled on paper covered tables. Cajun Claws is the closest I've come in the PNW to good ol' unpretentious seafood. The blue crabs were out of my budget, no doubt due to transporting them from thousands of miles away. But everything we ordered was delicious. The fried appetizer plates (shrimp, calamari etc,) are generous, and come with a large serving of delicious fries. My favorite was the very affordable shrimp and rice bowl. Well seasoned with spicy andouille and boiled jacket potatoes. We had so much food, the take home boxes fed us next evening's supper. Service was top notch. There were a couple of minor issues with my order and the friendly asst mgr took care of things immediately. We'll definitely be back.
