The Riverside is such a cute, quirky little restaurant with antiques everywhere and a wonderfully eclectic atmosphere. It definitely has personality, and the view is absolutely beautiful. Our waitress was wonderful: friendly, helpful, attentive, and quick to offer drink refills. The prices were also very reasonable, about what you might spend at a fast-food restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. It tasted pretty good, but the portion of chicken salad was very small, and the croissant seemed store-bought and was served cold. I was hoping for something that felt a little more homemade from such a charming, boutique-style restaurant. It was fine, but it would not be the reason I returned. My biggest concern was the cleanliness of the outdoor seating area. The tables themselves were not especially dirty, but the umbrella hole in our table needed cleaning, and the railing directly behind me was completely covered in cobwebs. The outside walls also had an enormous amount of webbing filled with leaves and tree debris. I understand that the restaurant is surrounded by trees, but the cobwebs were so heavy that my head was only inches away from them while I was eating. The outdoor area really needs regular sweeping and pressure washing. A young employee accidentally spilled part of a drink on our table and seemed too embarrassed to know what to do, so she apologized and walked away without cleaning it up. She appeared very shy and uncomfortable, so I did not make a big deal of it. Overall, this is a darling little place with a beautiful view, affordable prices, and a very kind waitress. I would not necessarily come here specifically for outstanding food, but it was still a nice experience. With a thorough cleaning of the outdoor area and a little more attention to the food, this could easily be a four-star restaurant.

I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants around Southern Oregon, and Riverside Bar & Grill has become one of my absolute favorites. The location right on the Rogue River is beautiful, but it’s the food that keeps me coming back. Everything tastes like it’s made from scratch with real care. The specials are always creative and change often, so there’s always something new to try. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in using fresh ingredients and putting together dishes that are far better than your typical bar and grill. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked steak, an incredible sandwich, fresh seafood, or one of their homemade sauces, I’ve never left disappointed. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Service is quick without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere is relaxed whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dinner, or just drinks by the river. If you’re looking for a place with genuinely great food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and one of the best river views in the area, Riverside Bar & Grill is absolutely worth the visit. It’s the kind of local restaurant you end up recommending to everyone. Highly recommended—I can’t wait to go back.

Can’t beat the view at this eclectic restaurant right on the rogue river. The sweet motor fries were fabulous, loved the artichoke dip (comes with garlic bread or chips) and the pickle chips rounded out the perfect appetizer round! My hubby enjoyed an excellent prime rib sandwich and I opted for the grilled turkey club with onion rings. Sitting in the deck has amazing ambience! inside the bar there is pool, casino machines and karaoke/live music. Stopping here every time I’m in the area!

I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re traveling to visit Crater Lake. Fantastic views, friendly service, and the food was amazing. I recommend the seafood, NY steak or lasagna. All around wonderful experience.

Before I start this long post on how horrible this place is. I am from a small town and understand some things are different at a small town family owned dinner. We get there with a party of 5. We all ordered waters. My husband's had an ant in his water. The witress just says "okay". No im so sorry. No oh my let me get you another. Just an " okay" as she takes the cup. I was polite and discreet about because hey stuff happen. It took her about 5 to 10mins to bring him a new water. My brother in-law was low on water so the waitress bring over a cup of water and drumps it in his. Which okay I can get over if there was not 3 pitchers full of water to the left of our table. We got our food. My brother in law ordered garlic fries. My husband ordered regular ones. They mixed up the order. Whoch whatever however, my brother in-law told the waitress. She told him that she thought their was garlic on them. After looking and finding no garlic she took the whole plate. Burger and all. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken. I informed the witress. She said no there was chicken on it. I moved the salad are and there was no chicken. She then takes it back to the kitchen and we hear " she cant find the chicken". She brings it back out and says " they added more chicken for you" as she moves her hand away she accidentally puts her hand in it and shacks it off her hand. She says "sorry" then walks away. As she was walking past she goes " im sorry dear it really was an accident ". She comes back about 20mins later. She asked about my salad. I told her " I didnt eat" she replied with " oh was something wrong". I said "you put your hand in it". She looks at me like I offended her. I tell her "I have a thing with germs". She finally offers to get me another which I decline. My father in-law comes to join us and ordered a bowl of vanilla ice-cream. After maybe 3 bites he finds something brown in it. We pay and I find another ant on our table. As we are walking out i notice my white shirt had dirt on from the tables. This was the worse place I have even been served and eaten at.
