I look forward to their food every visit. Ordering through the app is great. Busy around town shopping, quick order on the app and the food was being bagged just as I walked in on my way back to my hotel. Very convenient and super delicious. Pastrami on marble rye is yummy

I found this shop a little after I moved to Seaside in june 2024. Since then I have been able to stop in a couple of times a year. I also tend to recommend it to many people who are in the area looking for a good sandwich.
As someone with a newly assigned gluten allergy, they went above and beyond to accommodate it. While gluten free bread is an acquired taste, the gluten free white bread is really good, still a little sad. But safe is better than flavor sometimes.

Tsunami Sandwich company. It's an astounding local flavor here in seaside. Some might say that the prices are a little much, but in today's economy you get what you pay for with a meal that if it doesn't fill you, they make it right.
And the option of gluten-free bread for those that have a sensitivity or something like celiac disease, a sandwich makes you feel happy and at home again
We make a point to come over and stop by tsunamis every time we're in the area visiting family.

Disappointing experience, especially with the customer service.
Yesterday I ordered the Del Rey, their sub of the month, and paid extra to add cream cheese. After taking a bite, I couldn’t find any cream cheese, so I checked under the cheese and between the meats multiple times. I politely asked if I could just get a side of cream cheese since it clearly wasn’t on the sandwich.
I was told, “No, we put it on there.” I insisted that it wasn’t, and they actually started ringing me up for a side of cream cheese again. I didn’t want to risk being double-charged, so I just went back to my table. Eventually, someone came over and admitted they hadn’t put the cream cheese on it.
It’s not really about the cream cheese—it’s the fact that I felt like I was being treated as though I was making it up. Why would I lie about cream cheese?
The sandwich itself was good overall, and the chowder was decent but could’ve used a little more salt. Food was pleasant; unfortunately, the customer service left a pretty bad impression.
