  Driver never showed on May 3. Yet marked my order as delivered. Spent several hours on phone with CSRs. Told on May 3 I would have a total refund of my entire order in 3-5 business days. Well today is 7th business day and still no refund. Not shopping at this store ever again. Not worth the hassle and theft. I gave Safeway a chance to make it right and they are failing miserably. UPDATE --Looks like whomever responded to my review from Safeway needs to reread my review. I already contacted customer service and am still waiting for my refund! Good grief! No. I don't wish to start the whole process over. I was told last week the refund was being expedited and yes I do have a reference number for the refund I am still waiting for.

  The logistics at this Sandy Safeway are an absolute joke. For three weeks in a row, our delivery orders have been a disaster. Today, they assigned an Uber driver who was new to the area and completely lost, who then cancelled the order mid-transit. When we called, Safeway’s prehistoric tech didn't even show the cancellation, leaving us in limbo while the store offered a pathetic $5 credit for hours of wasted time and stress. The most frustrating part is that Safeway’s broken system forces our delivery through this specific Sandy location with no option to switch to a competent fulfillment store like Damascus. We are officially done with delivery here. We’re moving our business to Damascus for pickup only just to avoid the consistent incompetence and terrible customer service of the Sandy branch. If you value your time and actually want your groceries to show up, look elsewhere.

  Long time customer finally had enough of the slowly decaying customer service. Last three trips no lanes open and no management available or willing to help. Last trip manager literally walked away when asked if anyone available to open a lane. Had to process everything via the self check requiring several runs through to process taking over 20 minutes to check out. Staff unwilling to help. Will spend our $ elsewhere. Service has gone down radically in past year. Absolutely unacceptable.

  Went to pickup a BD cake, the cake was ready but no one was in the bakery I had to find someone to help me then they had to find someone to get the cake. At the checkout only 1 checkout was open, on a Saturday afternoon, the self checkout was packed.

  I don't get it. The young white guy with the beard in the deli has some horrible customer service skills. Today was the second time I've dealt with him and he needs to work on his customer service skills. Next time I will tell him to not help me and if that's a problem for him, he can get a manager. What a lame duck this kid is.
