  I have been going to safeway for as long as I can remember. Going to the store, picking up groceries with my family, and getting stuff at a good price with good service. However, over the years, management and ownership has tainted this experience for not just I, but many other families. This store offers inaccurate/overpriced items more and more with each visit. On top of this, several employees including managers and owner, have provided minimal support, damage items when checking out, and treating you as a walking disposable paycheck rather than a customer. To see a store once beloved by its community, fall nothing short of a disappointment is sad to see as a community member. I do not seek an automated response from this business, I just want change. Pricing: 5/10 Service: 2/10 Cleanliness: 6/10

  This is review is regarding Jennifer F. in the pharmacy department. She is beyond rude and condescending. I have never experienced a customer service experience like this. Customer service should not be her job.

  Yesterday, I visited this pharmacy as a first-time customer to pick up two prescriptions. Unfortunately, I was helped by Jennifer, who was incredibly rude from the moment I approached the counter. I was already concerned because I had watched her speak disrespectfully to several customers ahead of me in line. I gave her my name and date of birth and explained that my insurance wasn't on file yet. She abruptly cut me off and told me to "wait a minute" in a very rude tone before walking away. When she returned, she asked for insurance information I didn't have because I hadn't received my card yet. My insurance company had told me the pharmacy could look it up, but Jennifer insisted they couldn't and told me I would have to call my insurance company or pay out of pocket if I wanted my prescriptions. I did not have time to call HealthShare and wait in line again. There were 10 people behind me. The checkout process only got worse. She told me my card had been declined, but she had actually canceled the transaction herself. Then she asked if I still wanted the prescription, even though my card was already in the machine ready for payment. She was being difficult for no reason. She also asked if I wanted to speak with the pharmacist about my new prescription, but did so in a very condescending tone. Isn't it standard procedure that your canceled by a pharmacist for a new prescription? I had already gone over it extensively with my doctor. By that point, I just wanted to leave. As I continued shopping, I walked past the pharmacy again and watched Jennifer interact with other customers. She was just as rude and dismissive with every person she helped. It was clear my experience wasn't an isolated incident. Later, I called another Safeway pharmacy, and they were able to look up my insurance without any issue. That makes me question why Jennifer told me it couldn't be done. To make matters worse, I had spent the previous day calling this pharmacy at least 25 times between noon and 7 p.m. No one ever answered, and the voicemail box was full. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Safeway or pharmacy. I'll be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. People come to a pharmacy because they need medication and deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here with Jennifer.

  Linda in the deli department makes the best sandwiches and always has such a kinda demeanor! Five stars for Linda!
