    I’ve had multiple bad experiences going to Dutch Bros later at night, especially when the closer is working by themselves. I work in customer service myself, so I completely understand that working late can be tiring and that not every shift is going to be perfect. But you are still at work, and you are still responsible for providing basic customer service. There have been multiple times where I’ve pulled up to the window and the employee barely acknowledges me or acts like I’m bothering them by ordering. One night, he opened the window and didn’t even greet me. He just stared at me, barely spoke, and while I was still waiting for my drink, he was busy trying to fix the music instead of actually paying attention to the one customer he had. What really gets me is that I was literally ordering a small smoothie . It’s not some complicated order. If you don’t want to deal with customers or make the drinks you’re being paid to make, then I honestly don’t understand why you’re working there. Nobody is forcing you to work that job, and customers shouldn’t have to deal with an attitude because you’re unhappy about being there. I’m not expecting over-the-top customer service or someone to be ridiculously cheerful at 9 PM. I’m literally asking for a greeting, basic communication, and for you to actually do your job. If you’re going to work in customer service, especially at a place where interacting with customers is the entire job, that really shouldn’t be too much to expect.
