  Literal 32 people in line at self checkout and 2 checkers with lines down the aisles. I would consider it a one-time anomaly, but this happens often at any Safeway. It is the very reason I try to never go to Safeway... policy seems to be, "save money, don't worry about the consumer experience."

  Anybody who's charging $17 a pound for roast beef needs to have their head examined. I thought $10 a pound was high at WinCo. And that's the deli beef without additives.

  Safeway appears to be going under financially. Some selves And displays are empty. The bathrooms are dirty and has non-functional urinals blocked off with emergency tape. Safeway is Starting to look like a pretty third world place. I'm not sure if it's underfunded or just poorly managed but something's wrong.

  7:20 pm 6/19/26 self checkout. I’ve lived in prineville for 3-4 years now. I do not use Safeway at all anymore. Stopped tonight for a few things. Several of my items were on sale. I could not remember the telephone number to my rewards account from the past. I asked for help or to get a new one started. She said “ we don’t do that anymore”. “Maybe those people will let you use theirs” Keep it then Safeway. I won’t be back again ever. I’m not paying the extra $15 when your associates could have helped. Plenty of other places to go.

  Great customer service for the most part,there is typically atleast 1 bad apple in the bunch but most employees are helpful and polite. I do wish they were better at ordering stock, as they seem to constantly be out of the same items everytime I come in there. However, if they can figure out what is happening with ordering and start having certain things in stock more often then they are Great. Their produce is usually great all around, with lots of options, including the organic options! Their Bakery has it ALL and they do NOT disappoint!! Even their donuts are Amazing, they have some that are everyday favorites like maple bars or chocolate rounded ones with sprinkles but they also have new exciting flavors like strawberry shortcake, chocolate donuts that are caramel filled and tiny little hazelnuts. Plus many more!!! If you plan to buy certain donuts or even getting a dozen or more then It is way smarter for you to call their bakery by 10am the day before you are coming to purchase donuts. Pre-ordering them to make sure you are getting as many of the donuts you want, with no fear of not getting in before they run out. They are usually down to the least favorites by 830-9am. They are that good, plus it can make your morning so much smoother knowing that everything you want are put aside waiting for you!
