  "Did you forget your wallet again?" um. No, actually. Still in my pocket. Trying to keep it pleasant like, "I am 53- my skin looks like crap- I look older than I am...) Then show her my debit card after just rolling out of bed like- like this chick is already annoyed when I pull out the wrong card. I say, really "it's not that big of a deal..." She says, it is a big deal because "we're on camera..." so. Yesterday (when we were on camera) I forgot my wallet and she allowed me to make a purchase with no ID. Today- she asks me straight up if I forgot my wallet- apparently based on the fact that we're on camera. Now she says I'm "trying to tell her how to do her job." I told her she was being "inconsistent." Involving a large security guard standing nearby who claims I'm "talking down to him" by explaining exactly what happened. Having a large security guard stationed directly beside me rather than at a neutral distance made the situation physically uncomfortable, which I explained was unnecessary. Acting like I won't merely finish the transaction when he's that close, as if I'm some threat. Did I forget my wallet again. With the "have a nice morning." Not so cute.

  I frequently travel to Portland to visit family. I used to visit the closest Safeway, and eventually switched to just going to any grocery store that was nearby. Eventually I did a pickup order at the Safeway Lovejoy location and ran into Dustin. He is so amazing that I referred my entire family to this location and they are now all dedicated patrons. We love this location because of Dustin! His attention to detail, kind, courteous, and knowledgeable demeanor, and insistence on providing actual help is unmatched. I always refer others in Portland to this location and hope that they run into Dustin. He had the patience to explain to my elderly father how to use his app and get the code we needed, and Dad understood. Our grab and go orders couldn’t have been better if we shopped ourselves. Dustin seems to remember me and others in my family and is always a joy to see. He deserves more than 5 stars. 10/5 stars. Won’t go anywhere else.

  I can always count on Safeway to provide a daily exhibit on the human experience. This place is a psych major's wet dream... with cheap snacks!

  Rudest staff, I've ever met, not a single actual cashier in the place, the cashier that was working the self checkout, snatched money out of my hand as I told him not to and proceeded to do whatever he was doing i did not receive all my money back.Nor was I able to finalize my transaction, which ended up with me not getting any supper tonight, just got off work.All I wanted to do was get food so thank you Safeway for the trashy business. Yall need to retrain this guy in the photo about not trying to bully people.I'm 5ft 100 lbs hes woaf .What was being in my personal space Going to solve Can't wait till y'all shut down.

  Avoid it! Beatrice straight up harasses me when I go in there. Most recently followed me out the door to yell about my ID when I didn’t even purchase alcohol. They also ID’d me when I wasn’t purchasing alcohol because a stranger next to me who I happened to talk to while checking out was buying alcohol. They are actually unfit for customer service. It’s gotten to the point where if I see Beatrice working through the sliding doors, about half the time I just go home and get my groceries some other time. I am not the only person they are harassing. It is honestly the saddest little power trip I’ve ever seen.
