We now just go to customer service afterward once we see the mistake on our receipt and then are not treated well. Safeway has many bogo soda and 50% bakery, but the cashiers cannot now understand how to do these simple tasks at a register. Either training or overseeing them, either way, management. Former grocery manager here, and accountant - we know what we're talking about. Get it right, or lose more customers to FM.

There were multiple employees hanging around and talking to each other at self checkout, making it difficult to know who the actual attendant was. When I tried to get someone's attention for help, they seemed confused as to why I was speaking to them and reluctant to walk over. The lady who slowly wandered over did eventually help me, but I had to repeat myself multiple times and she acted weird when I requested an item to be removed.
