- EWElizabeth Wallis2 days ago5.0Been in person a few times ~ the space could use some touching up, but the food more than made up for it. One note: as a native Portlander married to a dude from the South, MBC serves corn*cake*, not corn*bread*. MBC's version is sweet, like the stuff I grew up on in OR / WA. My dude says its too sweet to be proper cajun fare. YMMV.

- CPCasey PoundsJul 20, 20261.0Y’all, as a southerner, I don’t see why people love this restaurant. The crab in the crab boil was fine but everything else was bad. The eggs were horribly overcooked, the potatoes were bland, and the sausage was so spicy we couldn’t eat it. We also had jambalaya, which was terrible, and blackened shrimp, which was also horribly overcooked. The garlic noodles were the only thing worth ordering. On top of the unappetizing food, the place is run down, dark, and dingy. At $128 for 3 people, this was a big miss. Edited to add 2 of the 3 of us had terrible diarrhea the day after this meal. The one who didn’t get sick ate crab. The 2 who did shared shrimp, dirty rice and jambalaya.
