The Greek fries are just a quarter potato fried. Not on par for Gyro either.
Haven't eaten at Mad Greek since they were on the other side of the street. Food was as great as I remember. Will definitely be back soon.
I hate giving 2 stars but have to be honest. I was in the area for work and used to eat at the old mad greek across the street all the time growing up. Decided to order a gryo online. Said it would be done in 10 minutes showed up in 15. Went to the front and saw 1 waiter trying to help like 8 tables by himself. After about 5 minutes he ran by and asked how he could help, told him i had a online order, he asked my name and started helping tables again. I waited another 10 minutes before yelling as he passed "any word on my order". Was asked "oh sorry whats your name again," then after about another 5 minutes was finally handed my cold gyro. I was late to my next job, gyro was good but could tell it had been sitting since the original pick up time. I feel bad for the server having so much to handle but you need to get a pick up counter or atleast one oter person to help out.
Didn't know that they reopened across the street from the old location. Very different vibe, better in most ways but kinda sad in others. Stopped on our way to the beach. Used to be a 2-3 times a month when I drove a route on the Westside. They had the best lunch special with a gyro, Greek fried, and Greek salad. Always had to get a side of the house sauce for the potatoes. Anyways, hadn't had the food in over a decade, we ordered the gyro plate and the veggie plate. Such a great sampling of some of there greatest foods. Falafel is just amazing, and the tzatziki sause is so fresh. Fresh veggies and the meat was just as good as I'd remembered. Unfortunately, I live on the east end of Gresham and avoid the Westside as much as possible but I'll definitely have to suck it up and make it to the Mad Greek Deli more often. Very reasonable prices as well.

I remember the days of mad greek deli being caddy corner from its current location when us teenagers would stop in after fishing at Bethany lake and get something to eat. Today; I could not imagine a teenager being able to eat here.
Today my takeout order was 53$ and I took home 3 gyros, 7 jojos, an iceberg lettuce greek salad and 2 extra sauces. I was not expecting fine cuisine but maybe a decent meal. The gyros are 13$ and the size of a 12oz can. Pretty steep for pre made meat, pita, sauce with some onion, tomato and feta thrown on top. The 8$ add on for 7 jojos and a half pint of iceberg lettuce mixed with greek salad was a let down as well but the jojos weren't bad.
I live less than 2 miles from here and will continue to drive to a Lebanese restaurant further away for a gyro.
2 stars as the service was fine and its not a bad place to have drinks and with different food options than most bars.
