  I dont have a picture because I ate all of it- but the sole was excellent and the baby potatoes and sauce added flavor. The Wedge salad was crisp and I normally avoid bleu cheese dressing- but this was mild enough to be good, and the best choice for the salad. The toffee bread pudding was very good- Overall good value for the price.

  A retirement party for two — even without advance reservations — was handled spectacularly well. Joan’s table-side service was first rate, and the both the salmon and the trout were delicious! Even the deserts were in top form. Many thanks for the deliciousness and the expert service!

  Service was very good. Our server Angela kept checking back with us to insure we were satisfied. Relative to the food, it was below Jake’s typical standard. The broccolini was cold on both of our plates which we left uneaten. The saddest thing however was the toughness of our steaks (I ordered the 20oz bone-in ribeye and my wife ordered the larger size 8oz? filet mignon). As frequent diners to Jake’s for special occasions/events and as Landry Club members, we were obviously disappointed especially on Mother’s Day. Because of this fact, however, we did not bring up our experience to Staff members. Hopefully, our dining experience was an out liner!

  I recently hosted a work lunch here at Jake’s Grill and from the logistics and planning to the execution of our meal and service, the team at Jake’s took great care of me and our guests! Amber, our server, was very attentive, patient, and supportive throughout the entire dining experience! Ryan and Corwin ensured that setup was seamless. Laina helped coordinate the event and was extremely helpful and flexible as our plans took a pivot. I couldn’t thank the wonderful team at Jake’s Grill enough!!

  I was highly disappointed with our service and some of the food. We had a very large group and did book last minute so that can account for some of the poor service. We were in town for a wedding and this was our dinner with a lot of family after the rehearsal (not a formal rehearsal dinner, just casual). As all the guests arrived they mingled and did introductions all around. During the introductions the two waitresses tried to come get drink orders but were asked to come back in just a few. My husband and I arrived just after introductions so did not know that. When the ladies came back they were very abrupt and took food and drink orders at the same time. No chance for drinks and appetizers. Several people did not know it was for drinks as well and just ordered food. Then as we waited we had to flag someone down to take drink orders. I heard several mention that the servers were quite rude when taking orders. They also would not accommodate separate checks, it was one check per table (we were at several round tables in a side room). That is a little understandable with such a large group, however it was a bit inconvenient trying to figure out who is paying when we have different families intermingled. I am not sure if that is standard practice or not for this place. Now for the food. I ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon. When it came out it was a very tiny piece of salmon with no crab or shrimp to be seen and a little bit of sauce (sauce did have a hint of crab I thought) on top. However, it was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes and veggies were very good. It was definitely not worth the $38 price tag though. If things weren't so hectic already I would have asked about it. My husband and the other gentleman at our table both ordered burgers and both wanted them very well done. My husband's came out great but Mike's was pink and had to be sent back. Other people in the group seemed to really like their food and I am not sure if anyone else had issues. I would definitely go again with just 2 to 4 people to see what that experience is like. I don't like to fully judge a place on just one experience as I know everyone can have a bad night. The place is very beautiful and does have a great wine selection as well as very good cocktails.
