  Great atmosphere, and the server and hostess were fantastic. The food left a lot to be desired for especially for the price. Had cocktails and these definitely shined. They were done well and even away from the bar servers were often doing fancy pours at your table for you as they served.

  First time there and loved it. Great food, attentive staff, cool historic atmosphere, and they gad beautiful live music when I was there Thursday night - sounded like a viola or fiddle playing Ashokan Farewell, Over the Rainbow, etc.

  We (a father and son from Germany) stayed overnight at the HiLo Hotel and visited the bar at Hubers. The service was absolutely friendly and professional. Great food, excellent beers, and a wide selection. The atmosphere is very historic and appealing. If we’re ever back in Portland, we won’t hesitate to stop by here again.

  Oldest restaurant in Portland they said. It looks great. It felt more 1930’s than 1880’s. The menu felt dated but I think that was on purpose. The bar is very cool. It has lots of liqueurs that I don’t often see. Cherry Heering for example. I got the turkey dinner. I loved the stuffing. I will go again.

  Words are a limit when it comes to describing the experience at this restaurant. Walking in is already an experience on its own, like getting into one of those hotels of the old movies. Then, you're greeted by one of the best waitress of the city, while the Batman surprise's you with some cocktail flair tricks. Then, the pictures start to talk about the history of the restaurant and the city. Did you know there was a big flood in Portland in the eighteen hundreds?. Service here is delivered with warmth unlike the modern cold restaurants that spread everywhere. They make you feel at home, like walking into the overlook's restaurant in the Shining. Now, food is another level of wonderful. The plates are treated with love by the chef. You notice that at first sight with the texture of the meat, crispy and juicy. In the mouth you feel the balance of flavors, none trying to take protagonism from the main great, instead enhancing it with subtlety. Simply delicious! Finally, the desert. You have to order the Spanish coffee. The preparation is a show on its own and the flavor is intense. To add finalize with one of the few well prepared creme brulee. One the has the texture that only French restaurant in Paris can provide. A must go in Portland.
