Our group of aprox. 40, had taken a bus to have dinner here. They were ready for us. Seated immediately and the food was perfect!

This place has the true spirit of fusion. As shown in the monopoly, it's probably the oldest restaurant in Portland.
The owner family now and first chef was a Chinese immigrant, and his son invented the signature Spanish cafe(which I found it inspired by Chinese Kongfu tea). Really proud of the Chinese spirit demonstrated!
Food is amazing I love the smoke salmon. Generous protion as well the turkey dish is huge.
A must do in town.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Ein großer Dank an das gesamte Team. 1. Die Cocktails und der spanische Kaffe waren super lecker und eine Show für sich! 2. Unser Essen, besonders die Gambas warn unglaublich lecker! 3. Das Ambiente ist einmalig, es ist wie eine kleine Zeitreise.

Truly a special place in Portland. Excellent food and not just their specialty which is turkey. Very good service and unmatched atmosphere, feels like a classic European or east coast big city restaurant.

"Let’s give it a try," I said, reading the Google description aloud to my husband.
Loved the idea of this old world building and its colorful story.
The wine list looked decent with local wines and Champagne.
Friday night. Requested a booth. The entrance we chose led into the "new bar" and open kitchen. We followed the sound of a hopping bar to the historic restaurant-bar area with its stained glass vaulted ceiling.
The host led us to a small booth in the new bar area—a quiet spot across from the hustling cooks.
Great cocktails. Started with fries—the crack kind: crisp outside, piping-hot fluffy inside. I would go back for the fries alone.
I had the Fresh Fillet of Salmon with the recommended Chardonnay (Oregon? No oak 😋). My husband went with the classic Roast Young Tom Turkey dinner and Oregon Pinot Noir (too warm).
What I loved about the food: It’s honest comfort food with a clear identity. The deceptively simple elements, like broccoli, mashed potatoes, and salmon, come together with the perfect doneness of an experienced kitchen.
Between courses, I had the Nicolas Feuillette Champagne split. Traditional Champagne in old world setting—lovely. A coupe? That would be the sommelier's kiss.
I ordered the Crème Brûlée—beautiful thin crust.
Spanish Coffee, of course! Served at our intimate booth. Showy, for sure, but let's not overlook the skill, hospitality, and fantastic drink.
Like the fries, I'd go back for that alone (and separately 😂).
Fantastic service, food, and setting.
Can't wait to go back.
