  VISIT #1 My food was ok I ordered the shrimp po boy. Flavor was good but not as good as I think they can do as in roll was hard and shrimp chewy. But they exceeded my wife’s expectations with her burger and taking her onion allergy seriously. Also the staff were extremely nice. So overall Im sure its usually very good but it was lunch time so that probably had something to do with my foods preparation. Other than that very nice. VISIT #2 Second Day food was Excellent had the Burrata Caprese with Salmon. PERFECTION! So it pays to try different things. VISIT #3,4 Overall excellent. Great food, homemade ingredients. Bluecheese dressing uniquely good. So in conclusion Deschutes was a clear winner during our week long visit. Very consistent and welcoming, with variety and quality.

  Great experience with my family. Almost everything was delicious. Burgers and steak were cooked perfectly. Prices are a bit inflated on some items in my opinion but that's pretty much everywhere these days.

  Didnt have a chance to try the food, but came here for the cask beer option. Service was very friendly and kind. There was a large party inside but I was still helped immediately. Clean, fun atmosphere, nice outside seating available. Large selection of beer to choose from. Well worth the walk.

  First, I'm a big fan of Deschutes in general, and while visiting Portland I went to sample beers at the brewery that are not available elsewhere. The sampling was great. Ate dinner one time and a second time had a beer and a snack. The food was pretty good, though a bit limited and not quite top-notch, but this is to be expected at a brew-pub so I wasn't at all disappointed. One thing that did kind of annoy me was that the first time I was there the waitress told me I could get ANY of the brewery-only beers (the ones only sold there) bottled for travel. I was excited because there was one unique local beer they had which I planned to bring home with a few of their large bottles. When I went back to actually do this, I learned only a few of the unique beers were bottled, and not the ones I wanted. So, a bit disappointed in that issue, but otherwise happy and will visit again next time I'm in town.

  A wonderful place to grab a drink or have a bite to eat. The food is always above average. This time the burgers were very overcooked, despite my request to make it medium. The service was OK nothing special. The big surprise was the dessert the Peachbomb cake was very tasty with a multitude of fruity flavors, blended with cake and cream! It looked wonderful and tasted even better. It was a total shocker for a brewery.
