Inside was cold and pretty loud, so we moved to an outside table which makes for great people-watching when there’s a performance at The Armory. We went during Portland’s “Burger Week” and the Elk Burger (“What The Elk?!”) was delicious. Service was attentive without being invasive. A very good experience. Recommended.

The food is delicious and they serve the best beer. But waitress is the worst. We have been there a lot of times and sometimes I was waiting for beer and kid ice cream for a an hour and today I told her that we are splitting the check and she did it all wrong. And I ordered just a beer for myself and she brought 3 beers which we are not ordered. Worst service ever.

We came here with a larger group and overall it was good, but not great. I do want to say that our server was really nice! They had two main vegan options, a black bean burger on focaccia and the Thai peanut salad (not labeled vegan because the crispy onions are cooked in the same frier as meat). The burger was yummy, but felt a bit dry. I did like the uniqueness of a burger on focaccia though. And the salad was also yummy, but felt very lacking for the price… it could use more, like tofu or cooked chickpeas, etc. The drinks were good! And overall we enjoyed it there, but I wouldn’t come back as a vegan.

Great location in the Pearl District. The shrimp linguini was excellent, though it could have been more generous on the noodles. The veggie burger (with quinoa) was also quite good. We sat outside to enjoy the perfect evening and take in the Portland street vibe. The service was generally good but ... given that we had to order online, we decided to tip slightly less than usual. Fair, right? I ordered the cream ale but was given a pilsner. When I brought it in, the hostess could tell with one look that it was the wrong beer. She immediately set out to correct the problem. When the replacement beer came out, it was the exact same pilsner again! Does the waitress not know her beers, or was she just passive aggressive? Just a sad coincidence? By then, my meal was almost done and I decided to just walk away. Left with a slightly bitter aftertaste ...

This establishment offers a full menu suitable for group dining. Among the beverage selections, the Black Butte Porter is outstanding. The Wayfarer cider drinks smoothly and is neither sweet nor bitter. The River Vista West Coast-style IPA is a notable choice, distinguished by its crisp, hoppy finish. The Aperol Spritz is light and refreshing, though priced on the higher side. The roasted red pepper tomato bisque is served hot and flavorful, accompanied by fresh bread that maintains a proper texture without becoming rubbery. The pub burger is sizeable, featuring two patties, with the beer-brined pickles adding an interesting background flavor. The atmosphere is clean and bustling, with a moderate to high noise level. Conversation across the table remains possible without difficulty.
