  Stopped by The Wilds after the visiting the nearby aquarium after finding them on Google. The person behind the bar was kind and accommodating, and the inside was cute and comfortable. Unfortunately, the food itself was just really not our taste. We got a BBQ plate with brisket, pulled pork, mac salad, and beans. The texture of the brisket was... not good. It felt as if it had been over-boiled and became both tough and wet/floppy. The pulled pork was fine, but hadn't been cooked right because it really wan't pulled - just chunked. The mac salad was not my taste and seemed to have sesame oil in it that did not blend well with the other ingredients at all. The beans were solid! I was hoping the bbq sauce provided at the table would help, but it felt like a spiced ketchup more than a bbq sauce. I really wanted to like this place and feel bad leaving a negative review, and it may very well be just my personal preferences here, but I just didn't enjoy the food. The atmosphere and service were great if you're just hoping to grab a drink!

  This restaurant would see repeat customers if they would get a half decent bbq Sauce. Whatever they are using is horrible. Even the ketchup tastes really off. Because the bbq Sauce was so bad, we couldnt use it on any of the meat. The fries were great. We all loved those. The red potatoes with chimichuri were good. We odered 4 meats and 4 sides. Mac and cheese was good. Ribs weren't over done, but lacked flavor. Brisket was dry. Pulled pork had a very smokey flavor, but was on the dry side. Shredded chicken was decent. Do NOT order the bbq beans. Nothing bbq about them. Tasted like a spoonful of cumin. Zero sweetness. Beyond gross. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was good. We brought kids at 4pm and it was great.

  Holy cats! The food is absolutely amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. A little understaffed, so service is slow, but in the end it's more than worth it. I had the macNcheese big plate and ate until I literally couldn't breathe. My mom had the 2 meat 2 sides with chicken and ribs and loved it. It's a little place in the middle of nowhere, and looks to be somewhat tourist light. Highly recommend!

  i ordered the bbq pork sandwich and bbq beans for reference. if you have never had bbq before, it's a good place. but the flavors are not there, in my opinion. the bbq sauce is watery and doesn't taste like any kind of bbq sauce I've had. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. the bbq beans were definitely a little odd—the wrong beans were being used and they were super watery as well. Don't get me wrong, i love all different types of bbq: kansas city, texas, mexican, north carolina, etc. but this place really does lack all aspects of a good bbq. I honestly was hoping for a better food experience, but the service was great!
