  Absolutely love this store. Their Delhi selection was amazing, and everything was fresh. Service was spectacular.Everything was nice and clean. They had a couple different selections in their deli that i've never seen before so we gave it a try, and they were amazing Keep it up, guys great store.I wish I could shop here on a regular basis.But we just happened to be passing through

  My family of six and I were regular customers at Safeway for years. Feeding a family of six is no small expense, and we consistently spent our money here. Over the years, I personally observed a disturbing pattern in how certain long-time employees treated brown customers compared to others. I’ve deliberately stood in the longest lines and taken the time to observe how customers from all walks of life are treated. This wasn’t based on one isolated incident or a quick assumption. These are patterns I’ve watched develop over years of shopping here. Why do brown customers seem to receive a different level of scrutiny and treatment? I previously contacted corporate after an incident involving a manager who nearly grabbed my mother while she was paying for our items. My mother is an honest woman who gladly pays for what our family needs. At the time, we didn’t fully recognize the pattern. After hearing similar concerns from people in neighboring communities, however, the situation took on a different meaning. I also have concerns about racial profiling involving a slender male employee who wears glasses. I went through the process of contacting corporate, yet I continued to observe the same concerning attitudes and treatment. I’ve also noticed police being called when groups of brown customers are shopping, which raises serious concerns when viewed alongside the other incidents I’ve witnessed. How many times do customers have to experience or witness this before someone takes these concerns seriously? My family no longer shops at Safeway because we are not comfortable continuing to spend our money somewhere where we have repeatedly witnessed treatment that raises serious concerns about racial profiling. We deserve to shop, pay for our groceries, and leave with the same dignity and respect as everyone else. This review reflects years of observation and personal experience. I’m not raising these concerns over a single bad interaction. I’m raising them because the pattern has continued, even after corporate was contacted. When will enough finally be enough?
