- KSKara Smith5 days ago1.0y disappointing dinner at Heidi’s. I ordered the meatloaf, and honestly, it tasted like dog food. I also specifically asked the waitress before ordering whether the baked potatoes were fresh. She said yes, but the potato I received was clearly old. When I told her about it, she responded, “Well, it’s the end of the night.” That really bothered me because that is exactly why I asked before ordering! She then simply walked away instead of addressing the problem. The dinner was $20, and there was an additional $1 charge for the loaded potato—even though the waitress had asked me what I wanted on it. That charge was never made clear to me when I ordered. I also asked the hostess about the pie and whether I could get a larger slice. She told me that the slice was a set size and cost $6.95. For $6.95, the slice was pretty small, so I decided not to get it and walked out. I thought the cashier might have offered me a larger slice to make up for the bad experience, which is why I left. I left a $2 tip, which was more than I felt the service deserved. The food, service, and overall experience were disappointing. I won't be returning. The food is tasteless and bland. The quality is not there and high prices do not reflect quality or service. Steak tortilla soup mostly corn and no meat.

We had the veggie omelette+ chicken and the Swiss omelette deluxe as well as a cinnamon roll. Cozy, large, old style place. Your grandma's best kept secret and one of the best all day breakfast places that will do doubt cure your hangover.
