  Dont bother trying to order food here before any of the big events at MKA. They were so unprepared I almost felt sorry for them. An hour and a half after we ordered our food we had to tell our waiter to cancel our order. Five minutes later our food was miraculously ready. We should have just paid for our drinks and walked out as it was 10 minutes before the show. Instead we decided to try scarf down our food as fast as we could because we were starving. The french dip was palatable but the sweet potato fries were cold. The BLT was ok but was served with cold fries as well. The plate lunch that was supposed to be their specialty was just plain awful. The kalua pork was ok but the chicken katsu was over cooked chewy and cold. The only thing that was warm was the mac salad which was about the worst I’ve ever had. After we told them about the lackluster food they ended up knocking 25 bucks off of our 200$ bill. The service, drinks, and atmosphere are just fine and I will back before a game or show to tip a few back. However, I have eaten my last meal at Wild Duck.

  We had the Hawaiian plate (kalua pork) and the Bijou Blue Salad for lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Melissa was attentive, warm and accommodating as we had to come inside to eat once the wasps saw our lunches! Would recommend wasp abatement for the outdoor tables, otherwise everything was great!

  This restaurant used to have high quality food at a moderate price. That has changed for the worse. All “sides” for burgers and sandwiches are now separately priced. Soft drinks and iced tea are now $5. I now have had 2 bad experiences and will not be returning. The latest happened last Sunday. I decided to try their Hawaiian plate lunch. Hawaiian plate snack is more like it. The Kahlua pork tasted decent except it was very fatty. The chicken Katsu was dried out and 2 of the small pieces were breading only. The 2 tiny scoops of rice were room temperature at best and very dry. And the Mac salad was so greasy I felt I needed to report a spill to the EPA. It was not busy but our server did not come to refill drinks. She barely stopped long enough to register a complaint about the iced tea. She whizzed by asking if everything tasted okay and left before getting an answer. She dropped all the tickets at the end of the table (there were 8 of us) and did the same thing returning change and credit card receipts. At that time we were the only guests in the restaurant.

  The atmosphere was great, food was delicious, and the server was quick and attentive. Best beer cheese soup I’ve had… ever. The Bijou chicken salad was fantastic. The chicken was well seasoned and moist. Drinks were generously pored. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.
