  We order takeout food from Spiceland because we think it’s the best Indian cuisine in Bend. We’ve eaten there in person too and the servers are always pleasant and helpful. The food has great flavor, and you can have it as spicy or unspicy as you’d like. Delicious!

  We went here and for some silly reason, they said they couldn't serve beer or alcohol tonight and they could only make garlic naan, but not cheese naan. Very confusing.

  exceptional food, best Indian in Bend! The service is great and they provide good recommendations. The lamb is juicy tender... we usually order one lamb dish and one veggie dish just to tell mom we ate our vegetables 😊. I consider this place a best kept secret as it's rarely crowded given how tasty the food is, so it's pretty quick service. They usually set the vibe with some nice Indian music in the background. We're here on the regular.

  We had a really long day and were looking forward to some good Indian food. We came across this place and were excited to try it after reading the positive reviews. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly, although the restaurant did seem a little short-staffed. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. Everything we tried was quite bland and, in my opinion, did not taste like authentic Indian food. I also found some of the descriptions on the menu to be misleading. I ordered the chicken biryani, which was described as Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. However, the appearance, flavor, and overall preparation were completely different from what I would expect from Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. It honestly did not taste like biryani at all, and I couldn't finish it. The chicken pakora was disappointing as well. The batter did not seem to be cooked properly and had a very soft, mushy texture instead of the crisp texture you would normally expect. Considering the prices, the quality and taste simply did not match what we paid. I understand that everyone's taste is different, but based on our experience, the food did not live up to either the menu descriptions or the positive reviews we had read. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place, especially at this price point.
