Brewpub
Our original Public House has been a vibrant fixture of the downtown Bend, Oregon scene since 1988. Not only were our very first beers brewed here – think Black Butte Porter and Jubelale – but we quickly became a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. While the beer speaks for itself through a total of 19 taps, our chefs also put the same quality and hand-crafted excellence into the cuisine. Our beer-centric menu features fresh ingredients, many sourced from local farmers, foragers and ranchers with whom the team has built strong relationships over the years. Most menu items are hand-crafted from scratch whenever possible, and several items are made with spent grain from the brewing process. Come visit us at Bend’s original brew pub and see where it all began.

- CHClark HatchSep 29, 20265.0My wife and I stopped in after a long walk along the river for an early lunch. The place had recently opened for the day and was already buzzing. We got two comfortable seats at the bar and ordered beer samplers and a pizza. They offer a wide selection of their craft beers, and we chose pours that are only available in the public house. The pizza was good, but the deserts were the bomb. The mud pie was the perfect pairing for their Nitro Stout!

We had great conversations with other vacationing guests and great food. We tried the aritchoke dip and short rib with polenta special, which was super flavorful.
- KDKarl DelzottiSep 20, 20262.0I used to love eating here. Food was always good. The last two times I've been really disappointed. Burger and fries for me and a smoked turkey for my wife. As soon as we both took a bite, we looked each other and said "is yours too salty?" Not only was it too salty, my burger tasted and felt like it was pre-cooked. It was dry and just barely warm. I like their beer, but not enough to come back.

Both times were pretty normal, not super busy, not close to closing time, not understaffed. The drinks are good and the food is pretty classic hipster pub food but I wasn't a huge fan. If I finally try something I really enjoy I'll change this to a 4 star, but I didn't think the pizza was very good.
