  I almost get hit every time I went into this parking lot. If you know what's good for you I'd park in the back and walk.

  Bought some Hormel Turkey pepperoni today at the Murray Blvd Safeway in Beaverton and it’s completely molded!!! You guys are too far from me to return it but Safeway DO BETTER!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting not to mention a waste of $$

  4/28/26 Went to Safeway at Murray street Beaverton and received sub par experience at their self check out line. Purchased only their on sale items but at the pay now screen none of my items showed the current Safeway newspaper sale prices. $33. What's going on? I asked for assistance with a older portly blonde Caucasian guy but he wouldn't give me the listed newspaper sale price on any of my items despite showing him the newspaper listings which were still active. All items picked were the correct brands and ounces/package weights. What should have been a $14 total purchase ended up costing $22 after is cell phone calculator wizadry. He quizzed me on his memorized prices and math calculations in ordered to validate his price structures. This was annoying. In particular, all the bags of Birdseye I picked 10-10.8 ounce bags were listed at 5 units for $5. I initially had 4 bags of this product but this clerk insisted on charging me more per bag because I did not have 5 bags to get the 5 for $5 store deal. None of the fine print said "must buy 5" anywhere on the newspaper flyer so he felt justified at charging me the inflated price per bag. To make life simple for him I grabbed one of my legitimate Birdseye bag then rang up again for a total of 5 bags and "Behold" my purchase became $14 plus $1 for $15. Now all the math all fell into place for him and he is amazed but happy. This was an ordeal and I almost forgot to pay for all this stuff which took at least a half hour to do but should have been done in minutes. He could have at least said I'll give you the deal if you add another bag for a total of 5 bags but didn't bother with volunteering this info--but he didn't. Instead he chose to focus on his solo lengthy math calculations with his cell phones calculator to validate his incorrectly inflated charges. No one should be overcharged for purchases either thru their incorrect on screen pricing at the self checkout terminal nor through a seasoned clerk with a sense of humor. M.
