  Be careful if you use drive up services for the Safeway on Teal. They have a younger pale man with glasses named Chuck who purposely put carts on my car scratching it. I had to talk to his manager Hayley Myers who explained they don’t train their employees enough to deliver groceries outside to cars and she tried to put the blame on the parking lot. My wife then on a later pickup was verbally abused by Chuck when he was loading in the groceries. Please be careful if you see this man, he seems unstable.

  Safeway is always my local shopper favorite. Better prices than gas station mini mart. Quality and fresh produces. Safeway is safe and no compromise service. This Safeway is no exception. Remember sign up to start your Safeway members, some savings are quite good.

  The attitude and tone of a clerk named "Riley" at your store made me really sad. When the customer bought something, they thought there was a scanning error, so they asked, "Should I have you scan it again?" and he replied with a rude tone of voice and couldn’t even look at them when talking to them, "Why do I have to do that?" …….Perhaps he had a bad day today,so that’s why maybe. But I didn’t get why they had to be treated like that by him. That was kinda sad moment .

  Since moving back to Oregon I've been patient over the course of a year shopping here with a particular employee who is in a management position (she has been here for 20+ years) but as she ages is becoming overly authoritative, aggressive, and invasive. I'm 68 years old, her peer, and yet she makes comments about me being "a little old lady" and infers that I need help using check out when I'm actually doing just fine (I have worked as a front end cashier on the east coast). Self check out is not hard. I wish she would retire, I think it might be difficult for her to get over her delusions of having authority over her customers personally and treating them so inconsiderately. On her days off other employees handle self checkout just fine and I don't feel like a bug under the microscope of her watchful eye as she waits to pounce. She used to be a good employee but seems to be using her title and experience as Manager as an opportunity for her own needs instead of truly offering service. Does she know how irrelevent and inappropriate she has been. Way too invasive

  They probably have everything you could need as far as non-perishables go, but their meat and produce is not great: browning slimy lettuce and soft, squishy peppers the last couple of times I tried getting produce there. The last 3 packs of ground beef I bought there were bad despite being days away from the use by date (could only tell once I was able to get it home, unwrap, and smell it - WOOF). Staff is nice enough, smiles and pleasant chit chat from the folks at the regular check-outs, except the guy at the self-checkout. I used to say "thank you" and "have a good night" to him as I left, but since the most I've ever gotten back was a blank stare or a look of mild irritation, I stopped even interacting with him. The aisles are narrow and every other shopping cart has a busted wheel, so I would only recommend going here if you need a couple of things, not to do your whole big shop.
