The air vents kept dripping water on me and others in my party. It was gross!! The food was bland and not worth it. The staff went m.i.a. after food was delivered so no drink refills when needed most. One waitress was condescending to several in our group and started to get attitude when I asked for another refill. We went at 6p on a Friday night and less than half the restaurant was occupied, which says a lot. I won't go back.

Our waiter, Zach, was absolutely AMAZING. He was very kind, informative, and patient with our entire table. He was the light of our night and he made it his duty to make our experience as comfortable as possible.

We ate here for my mom's birthday. We had a pretty large party and our waitresses handled it with ease. The food was great, the atmosphere calm and relaxing, and the service was AWESOME. Be sure to try the all day Happy Hour menu on Tuesday. The only flaw is the parking and construction, which is in most of downtown right now so I understand.

I usually really like Bourbon St. Cafe.. today, my family went for Father's Day and I was pretty disappointed to say the least. The restaurant was pretty dead. Our server was extremely inattentive, to the point that the manager brought out our food (the manager was very nice and friendly) i ordered a drink which took at least 15 minutes to get, after she said she was walking 10 feet away to the bar to get my drink, she didn't and it seemed like when she finally remembered, then she went and got it. My children ordered the Cajun Mac and cheese and the alligator that came with it was by far, the worst alligator I've ever had. It tasted like chewy, burnt, chicken. Our pastas were decent, but I dont feel like this place is ever consistent with their portion sizes and taste. I had about double the amount of shrimp that my husband did, and he had way more pasta. We chose this tonight because it used to be my favorite place, but I can't say that after tonight's experience, i want to take my family back for a meal that cost so much.

Zach is one of the best, made fathers Day a great experience. Service on point, drinks were phenomenal and the food was delish. We come for the oysters but man, the grits and dirty rice on point too.
