Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Great time, every-time! Favorite 24/7 place to grab that late night meal.
If ever there is a wrong order, the management fixes with a smile.
Great management upper and mid tier!

So, I pull up and order my burger. No issue. I pull up to the window, I pay. As I'm waiting for my food I get the cashiers attention and tell her, "Hey I see this sign in your window that says free coffee and ice coffees for veterans. I'm a veteran and an Iced Coffee sounds pretty good." She looked at me like I had something growing outta my forehead. She said something to the fact of, "I don't know anything about that..." Turn around and grabbed what seem to be the manager. I tell him the same thing and he says, "sure thing, what size?". I looked at him, pointed at the sign, and said, "well it says 16oz, so whatever size that is." He yells back to the back and says make it 16oz!
*Now, I don't know about you, but I've never had to ask for creamer in an iced coffee. I've also never seen an iced black coffee, unless specifically asked for.
The cashier brings me a cup and I see this dark liquid hitting the lid. I say, "That's not just a black coffee on ice, is it?" Again with the look... She says, "uh I don't know, it's however she handed it to me." I said yeah, it is. I didn't know I needed to say with cream and sugar. The picture on the window even shows creamer in the iced coffee." The lady in the back came forward and yelled, "what?! Did you want creamer in that?!? Hold on honey, I'll make it right. Then she brings me two peal-top creamer cups... 😐
I drove off.
How do you have something to honor military and first responders and then even know about it or how to make it appropriately? Even the manager seemed confused a little and obviously he didn't know what it was supposed to look like either. That whole experience just 🤯! Then to have a cashier say, "I dunno, it's however she gave it to me." 😳.
C'mon, do better.
