Called to report missing food we were charged for. James was rude on the phone with comments like, "that's why I said..." and responding to our "thank you sir" with an annoyed tone and saying, "god" and then hanging up. Disgusting lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. They failed to include any sauces that they asked if we wanted and we said yes. The sauces were on the receipt. They failed to bring fries that the receipt shows we paid for. If you fellow customers decide to visit this establishment, don't drive away without double checking your order since they view any mention of missing food as an annoyance to them and they feel that you, the customer, should spend your gas and your time juat so they can give you the exact thing that you paid for. So in the end, you've paid way more for the same item because now you've driven there twice. Also, the woman who took the order read the order back at super speed like she was at an auction or something, showing her annoyance with our order. We ordered 3 burger combos, 2 pretzel sticks with cheese dip, a medium fry, and extreme tots with some ranch dressing. That's it. That was the order that was so much trouble for them. I've been a manager at a pizza place and whenever we messed up, in order to compensate the customer for their trouble of coming back, we gave them something a bit better than what they paid for but did not receive. I have experience in customer service and I understand that busy days and customers can be stressful but its unacceptable to be rude to customers, especially when those customers weren't even rude but simply calling to notify a business of missing food. The way James said "god" in an aggravated voice and hung up reflects terribly on that business and shows that whoever is above James just doesnt care. The ones who run that Sonic are counting on the limited options in the small town of Poteau. There was a number on the receipt that said "how was your visit? Comments or concerns? Ask for manager on duty or text or call 1-866-ok-sonic" not sure what it will do, but we will be calling it to see. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the one who answers takes customer service seriously. If there is a response to this review from Sonic that will talk about making things right?But i've learned that when they do this, in the reviews, it's all for the optics, so that you think that they care. They don't. They will provide a number that isn't really going to do anything. So when they reply with some beautiful words, you can be sure that they are doing it only for appearances.
