- MLMarvin LarsenAug 13, 20264.0Pretty decent place. I have been to a fair few of these locations in Tulsa and OKC. My past experiences at other locations had me a little surprised at the quality of food, service, and atmosphere of this location. Steak was full of gristle and shrimp tasted old. Mashed potatoes were really good and always love a caeser salad. Chicken was also pretty good. Other than that, not trying to take away too much from this place as it was okay but I would probably choose another location at least for lunch. Dinner could be different.

The appetizer (artichoke dip) was good, tasted the Smokey cheddar flavor well. The steaks were tough and mine was overcooked. Believe they came from the tip of the roast and we couldn’t get a cross cut. Our waitress acknowledged that, “sometimes we get tough steaks, and we never know what kind we get” and she didn’t off us a discount. She did, when we were done, offered to have the chef prepare a different steak, however, by that time we were ready to leave. My husband had ribs and he says the bark on the ribs were so tough they just covered them with BBQ sauce. I guess we can say, the appetizer was the highlight.

I’ve been a loyal customer of saltgrass from Houston back to OKC and have never had this sorry of service. Hate to say it but I will NEVER go back to another salt grass location. PS. Maybe don’t get defensive and call people liars when they report a mouse in your establishment. I get rodents are an issue for lots of restaurants, but to deny it and get mad instead of apologizing? Weird.
